What should I expect from an Evora S

This comment rang a bell with me. I will be test driving an Evora in mid-August, but I do wonder after years of doing the same as you in M3s if I'll miss having an LSD. I know that due to the engine being where it is in the Evora that traction is far better than in the M3. However, I find that even in simple situations like getting hard on the power early after a very tight corner will have the inside rear scrabbling on non-LSD equipped cars. What has your experience been in the Evora so far? Have you experienced any inside wheel slip at all, from T-junctions and the like?
FYI, the Evora doesn't have an entirely 'open' diff. It uses the brakes via an 'E Diff' system to mimic the actions of an LSD. If you're really fussed though, it is relatively easy to add a Quaife diff to the gearbox (like the 400 uses). When I say 'relatively', that's once the gearbox is out of the car. Getting the gearbox out, however, is bit of a pain.

I have changed my mind wrt barge boards about twentington times.
Think I need to see some to decide.
I feel that way about the GTE rear wing. It looks great in some pictures and horrid in others. Barge boards are not for me. Apparently they are dirt and stone collectors. Think I need to see some to decide.
I do like the look of the recent GTE kit produced by the company in the far east - there is a thread on seloc running about bulk-importation to cut down on the (not insignificant) shipping costs.

Here is mine immediately after 150 miles of wet winter motorway on my weekly drive to Manchester
I'm in the yes camp on barge boards.... Not rushing it yet though - will be co-ordinated with the wrap decision.
CTE .... lol.... I did say earlier in the thread that I have no patience. I've been trying to make my mind up on a next car for months, finally homed in on an Evora S and then got really irritated that I missed 3 so quickly. So when I saw one that read exactly as I wanted (and saw the ad within minutes of it going on line, I was straight on the phone). The dealer I bought it from was also a little taken aback at my insistence of making the bank transfer and driving it home same day based on a 2:00pm appointment.
Ref the handling, it's certainly sliding around a lot on the damp roads after the pretty dry spell that we've had around here this week. It has been extremely slippy some mornings and I'm sure the more pronounced incidents are more down to really low grip levels than anything else - though it did surprise me. In the dry, it will go sideways on the power out of roundabouts etc pretty much when you want it to, once again, I don't mean 200yard smokey drifts. Bear in mind this is when you're provoking it as opposed to it being almost unavoidable when pressing on (like in an M3). I've noticed talk of tyre pressures making quite a big difference with people recommending dropping down to 30 all round, mine are currently higher which is probably particularly relevant on the damp, slippy mornings.
That's interesting on the diff / traction control BravoV8V, I'm still learning my way around it at the moment so can't really comment other than it certainly will slide when you ask it to instead of spinning up the inside wheel. I guess it's using wheel speed sensors and ABS / TCS to mange this - so will the 'LSD like" characteristics change with the Stability control on or off?
Finally .... PowerFold mirrors. I read the rumor that all cars have the motors, and it's only the switch that you get to activate the option. Had a look at my car and it seemed to have the motors. £10 on eBay for a new mirror switch and I now have powerfold mirrors. :-)

Where are you in the uk? mine has the Lotus ones, but I don't have any good pics.Think I need to see some to decide.
Today - I am definitely in the "like em" camp. But this could change tomorrow.... I'm also nervous about clunky teenage sons smacking them as they get in/out.

I've had a great drive this evening. A few things have become more clear. The stability control certainly does work, the moments I had the first few days must have been down to the very greasy roads (long dry spell, wet spell). This evening on dry and then properly wet roads, it's behaved exactly as you'd want it to (an annoyance I have with M3s and C63s etc is the constant early intervention). The car also will not spin up an inside wheel either with the stability on or off, it definitely spins the outside wheel even when pulling out of a tight junction so the 'e-diff' function although surely not as nice as a mechanical LSD, does its job well enough.
Got a free day tomorrow, need to fake it for a proper, longer run.
On the topic of clunky teenagers, my kids are a little younger - and are arguing over who gets to go in the back - they normally argue over who's turn it is in the front of a car but there is something about the back that they seem to really like (the seat is relatively high.... Maybe that).

I like them and if I can train my 8 and 10 year olds to step out wider I am sure a teenager can be trained too Today - I am definitely in the "like em" camp. But this could change tomorrow.... I'm also nervous about clunky teenage sons smacking them as they get in/out.

Are they bolted on or bonded on?
And is that a wrap above them and on the lower edge of the front bumper or has it been painted?
All wrapped even the roof on one of the earlier posts on this topic. These were from a guy on SELOC and use the existing bolts for the undertray so easy to fit.Are they bolted on or bonded on?
