Evora reliability

awesome info guys. I am a manual man, even though I did really enjoy the auto box, so that issue shouldn't be a problem.
@jayemm89 yes, I have been following your updates from youtube and lotus forums, and they have been ace. Much appreciated for your efforts!
Glad to know to know that these machines are reliable. Now starts the process of choosing and man maths! Cheers

I've just had to do the clutch in mine too....launch edition NA with only 37k on the clock....however...it was a lotus management car and was used in some TV programme so was undoubtedly driven by loads of different people...and I found a pic of Jean Alesi leaning on it next to a race track somewhere so I'm guessing it didn't have the easiest early life....
Needs new rear discs really and I'm a little suspicious of the brake master cylinder as am getting very slight pedal fade
Drivers side seat bolster (oyster leather) is a state and the boot lift struts went a bit limp (but at £37 to replace not really a big deal)
it's never missed a beat engine-wise and everything else seems to function perfectly. Oh except the alpine satnav which sucks monkey balls but I know it's an easy upgrade if I cared which I don't.

the car will get you from point A to be point B, but i think there are many points one shoulf consider before taking the plunge, as we know lotus isnt in the greatest of financial situations, they are hoping to turn a profit next year so tge rral question is if the company goes belly up in the near future (its a significant possibility) whos gonna take care of your minor issues? or will they be compounded into a big issue and would you be caught with your pants down?

What a sad life you must have. You've made a username dedicated to trolling every lotus thread. I shouldn't be surprised, it takes all sorts. Especially when you can hide behind the anonyimity of a computer. Lotuslover669 said:
I wrote my opinion and my legitimate concern with the brand for the OP, if you think i have an issue or I am trolling that is your prerogative. but please do expect that I will be extremely active on this forum, and that i wont accept harassment, again i remind you this is not TLF.
Are you also a comedian? Harassment, I can't wait for your future contributions of complaining about lotus of a lotus forum. Lotuslover669 said:

Ffs - you could say the very same about Aston Martin !!! Lotuslover669 said:

I think your right your comments are only an opinion, and maybe a bit dated and more suitable to the Danny era, currently losses have been cut sales are up and with the current CEO at the helm financially they should turn a profit in the future.Regarding going belly up there have been seemingly far stronger brands do this. No company is immune from misfortune but there appears to be a clear imperative from the parent company to help make Lotus a success. Even if Lotus did go to the wall I doubt one would be caught with ones pants down. A lotus product is a desirable iconic car once the Europa S stopped production 2nd hand prices actually went up! I brought my Evora in the DB era and weighed up what the worst would be if the company were to collapse and my thought was the cars were unlikely to loose much value as they were not made in huge numbers and would be desirable.
An example is that a SAAB is being offered for sale on PH for £12K its done 95000 miles it was probably about £30K new just because a manufacturer collapses does not mean the vehicle value turns to dust...

Why do you have such a huge issue with Lotus?
It's quite amazing it seems to stem from his local dealer in the UAE not replying when he sent them an email telling them their cars were overpriced... (from what I recall of his 1st contribution to TLF)Why do you have such a huge issue with Lotus?
