He was understandably annoyed. I actually still feel bad about the whole thing

Understandable but if your heart's not in buying a Ferrari then it's just not the right car for you.

Well at last I have my Evora S 2+0 (do not have kids so do not see the point in carting 2 useless seats about....ideal space for the missus clobber when we go away on road trips, which there will now be plenty of...hopefully.
Car is white and I had the sills under the door, and the front splitter done in black....must say it looks fantastic....if a little in your face.

Gearchange is fully sorted and a pleasure, as is the whole experience....only done 10 miles in it so far, but brilliant. Sad to see the RS and Elise go, but this is another level of road car (Elise is sharper, but the number of track days I get to do, it`s too big a price).
Strange, I now travel around day to day in a luxurious XF V6 Jag, which is another great car really, but a real barge compared to a sports car....but the exhaust now sounds ok (guess it`s about contrasts).... I`ll have to see how it goes....a nice exhaust is a big part of the entertainment and apart from when it was screaming its head off, was missing from the Elise.

That does indeed look very nice.. Personally I would also get the roof done, and the wheels..

Keep us posted on how you get on smile

Yes my original thoughts were to get the wheels done aswell, but not so sure now...think the roof might be a bit too much.

Just took the missus out for a spin on our local B roads...that shut her up!!

Weird how you almost pulled the plug on a 360 yet a manual 430 is twice the car in every single respect (apart from subjective looks).

Ah... You bought the alpine white one from Castle - the S charged one...

Yes, I can see now why you needed the gears redoing...

Not to mention £20k extra!

I would not have bought it with the gearchange as it was, but the new spec cables have transformed it...it now slots nicely into gear. I have not done many miles yet, but I can see that I will using a lot of petrol and burning loads of rubber! Hopefully I will keep my driving licence?
Even my mate who salivates after a Nissan GTR and just does not get the driving interaction thing thinks it is stunning and very nice.

Yes, test driving that one convinced me the IPS was the best choice for me. Gear change was f**king horrible. And I drive a TVR as well! Even the T5 gearbox was a hell of a lot better than that one frown

Yes and that's cheap for what you get. 65k is looking like a mighty fine deal and a 360 at 50k is looking bad value. Gallardos all get flown out to the far east and are rock steady so poor value ... not very good to drive either.

Was at Castle earlier today having the engine pipe changed on my S, they said the white Evora had gone, hope you enjoy it. I would get the roof done in black. My red Evora has sills, front splitter and roof in phantom black. The wing mirrors, A posts, rear valance/splitter and wing in carbon fibre. Looks fanatstic...I am a bit biased though!

Saw a 458 in town this week in white with black roof and again looked great.

I've already started little mod projects on my 2011 one, mostly to incorporate the trim ideas from the 2012 model.

However, the serious projects will need to wait until after the warrantee expires.
