Well, the wall thing was short lived.
Had a skip delivered today to get rid of the rubble. (I've been away with the boat for a month) Came back tonight to start filling it up, only to find a nice note stuck in the gate from the "inspector de obras", to go see him.
So I'm in the st again!
fk me! How can you just get on with life in this place? banghead

I have to laugh..........

So sorry to hear this again, hopefully if you take your Escritura down and point out the measurements : raising my eyelids:...........can the missus not get it sorted the Spanish way ?......not in the Galician way which is either with Shotguns or Riphooks, they don't piss about up there.
What about if you get a Land Surveyor against your Escritura ?

What a load of aholes,it is something that outsiders just don't beleive,is this Jefe de Obras shagging the Germans wife or something ?

Been to see short beardie person today, and it's not about the measurements.
I need a licence to build a wall. rolleyes
I pointed out that I've replaced a wall that has been there for 30 years and has fallen over. (I literaly pushed it over!)
Doesn't matter, it's a new construction, I need a licence.
Oh well, I'll go and see my English bricky friend, give him a nice "Drink" and get him to put it through as a project.
As usual it's all about giving the town hall some money.....Not as bad as I feared...yet.....

Back to living the dream. smile

How's it going on the Isle of Widget?

Phew!..really glad that is all, thought for a moment that your bloody neighbour was coming back at you, go on you know you really want to............help the Town Hall.

Yep Island life here is pretty good, had the Architect around today to finalise the drawings before they go i for planning and Building permission, soooooooo much easier, sad but true and it has nothing to do with language either as we both speak Spanish and have worked the Spanish system for many years.
Tree cutting down at the moment,we have about 15 to come out all planted by the previous owner who hadn't thought about future growth and close proximity to house and each other, and then plant some more but with a little bit more thought for the future.
Just changing the car reg's back to U.K. reg at the moment and finished the last one today, luckily I kept my Corvette on U.K. plates as well as Spanish ones, it's the road tax that's the killer.
Couple of weeks then off to the Le Mans Classic for the weekend, haven't been for a few years so really looking forward to it,and all those lovely cars and fuel smells.

Did that other Tug offer ever come back again ?
Beautiful weather here at the moment as well, probably until the round the Island race next weekend,I think I will go down to Ryde next weekend and settle down with a couple of cold ones just to watch Ryde sands as there are some lovely sandbanks out there just under the surface and always catches a few out.

Sounds like it's going smooth smile Good on yer!

I suspect my delighfull nieghbours called the town hall when the skip truck beep beeped it's way backwards down my nice accessable driveway.

As I left to get back to work, I think I saw a town hall van following small fat beardie person in his beat up peuguot. I saw him turn directly up my road in my rear view mirror. It's a cul-de-sac... I alsmost turned back, then told myself I was being paranoid.

Tug job never came off, the Guy still hasn't bought it, so I think he's just a fender kicker...

Stay lucky,
Mick. smile
