Calling all members of the community!!

PistonHeads will be attending the Fast Car Festival at Donington Park Racing Circuit on July 30th - 31st and we have been asked if a few of our members would like to exhibit their cars at the event.

Therefore, to help support our attendance and to showcase the best of what PistonHeads has to offer, we are looking for a total of 20 member's cars to be included in a static display over the course of the weekend.
They will sit alongside other displays from the show, spanning the entire motoring spectrum, from supercars, to classics, to Japanese drifters.

We have decided to create to showcase our members unconditional love for their cars and named it "PH Metal".
So if you have a Jaguar, Mercedes, Porsche or any other marque that you feel is worthy of a place on our stand, and that you would like to bring for the weekend, then please upload a photo onto this forum.

The winners will not only receive a free pass for two to the show, a pitch for overnight camping and some PH Merchandise, but also the pride of seeing their car flying the flag for PH!

Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be selecting our favourites from all of the entrants and will be contacting the winners soon after.

Good luck!

Even as an EV driver I thought that you'd at least mention TVR in your suggested list!

1. TVR Griffith
2. Golf R
3. Mx5
4. Flemke's F1
5. Merc £4K barge
6. M3 CSL
7. VW phaeton
8. Datson Z with bolt-on arches
9. Megane R26
10. SL55 AMG
11. Audi RS6
12. 993 GT2
13. 996 Turbo
14. 997.1 GT3 RS
15. 997.2 GT3 RS
16. Any other 911
17. Golf GTi mk2
18. 488 GTB
19. 335 mapped, natch
20. Re-mapped, turbo'd Toyota GT86

That would do it probably?

5 x 911s? really?

Thats 25% of your display of a car that's renowned for not changing shape much in 40 years.

Does PH think it can get 20 actual featured SOTWs to turn up? biggrin

Think there might be some nicer motors offered but if you're struggling then a 2009 987.2 Boxster S is available.

If you're feeling sentimental, you'd make my 9 year old son very happy wink He's 10 in June so this could be your belated birthday present to him.

Only got photos of it dirty though (the car not my son) smile so I'll clean it at the weekend and post unless by that time you've had numerous offers from 918, Carrera GT, GT3, and RS owners.

I'd swap one of the Porkers for a Caterham or Radical, another for a v8 Defender, and another one for an Elan.

Something Unique maybe ? A First maybe ? Never achieved/produced by ANY other manufacturer ? in its ultimate form produced ?, only one in the UK ?

V.6 Activa

With ZERO rust, well presented ? original without lurid MaxPower Mods ?
