You liking La Torre?

Go onto my website - www.LaTorreOnline.es

Why did we choose here? - Golf, security, facilities and access to local towns.

Mar Menor or La Torre for us.

Loads to choose from - fee-paying (Kings College which is about 100metres from the back gate.!) or 'State Schools' in the local towns. Your Kids will be fluent Spanish-speakers VERY quickly.

Semi-retired, but will be commuting (weekly) to the UK next year. By profession, I am an IT Consultant.

Be interested to see how you get on with the commute as my Brother in law is looking at a weekly commute also.

Wont be too bad for me as it is two flights every 5 weeks or so.

What are the best property websites for the area?

How is the resort etc?

So many questions, I know!

Commuting isn't an issue - did it for 18 months when I first moved out here.

1) Priority Boarding.
2) By-pass Passport Control at Gatwick with IRIS
3) Valet parking
4) Buy food at M&S - drinks at Boots, once through Security.
5) Get to know short-cuts to the Gates
6) Visit my website - www.LaTorreOnline.es

Unfortunately, I don't think IRIS is available at either Glasgow or Edinburgh.

As for flights to San Javier (Murcia) from Aberdeen, I'm not sure which airline - if any - covers that particular route.

Not as easy as yours! thumbup Dependent on flight times I will travel to Edinburgh during the winter and stay with the parents before the early morning flight out.

Will need to see what is happening ref Corvera airport also.

MJV from ABZ is direct also during the summer but a stop off in London during the winter. Plenty options but looking like a 10 hour commute in winter.

Have Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh UK wise and MJC Alicante and Corvera when it opens in Spain so plenty of options to find the best commute.

Coming out next summer for a few weeks and other hols poss christmas etc.

Wife will b out for the full summer, so may get a catch up if you fancy it?

Cheers

Hi we have moved to Almanzora near Albox Almeria,
have been here for 3 months and love the Spanish lifestlye,
does anyone know where there are any trackdays happening in the area so we can meet up with other expats and have a blast up the autopistas and safely have some fun on a track.

Bumped. Well that's it done. House on the market and long term rental in Spain agreed from July of this year. Been a long wait but plenty of visits and time to plan have made it worth while. Will be initially on Roda golf in Los alcazares with kids in school in town then looking to buy in 11 months time from then around the area if we decide it is definitely for us.

Cheers

Done the trans European commute, via just about every airport in Europe, about 140 times each way now. I work the Norwegian schedule 2 on and 4 off = 17 weeks work a year beer.
