You played well , i think if you perform like this for the whole season you will be knocking on the euro door.

I wish....but reality will set in after a few games. Survival first, what happens after that is a bonus. Lambert's transfer policy is to buy potential and so far the boy done good, lose the MO'N debts then push on

Good to hear. He had a few games last season when he looked as if he was getting is old form/game back. Actually looking forward to watching a game for once, after the Man U loss.....I mean game! wink

great result

i've had a feeling they'd have a good season - the kids have settled in and the defensive ability will be better

but this is a great result for the villains

I hope we don't now get a massive reality check at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. Hopefully they'll get all their goals out of the way against Hull.

Brilliant result and a great performance though.

So, what's the concensus about tonight then, chaps?

Let's face it, anything fewer than 8 going past Guzan is an improvement on last season! Can't see us winning, in all honesty, but I think there's a decent shout of a draw.

After the showing against Arsenal, I suspect a lot more clubs won't be viewing Villa's visit as a guaranteed banker 3 points this season....

Separately, I read that Petrov has had to step back from his new role as the Assistant U21 coach as he's just not ready to return to a full-time role yet. It's commendable that the club has found a role from him after this playing career was cut short by the leukaemia and presumably they'll hold it open for another 6-12 months to let him come back when he's ready.

I see Lambert is annoyed at the referee.

What goes around comes around whistle

Don't bite, don't bite, he's trolling you...

Aarrrgghhh. The ref missed one blatant elbow to the chin and one humungous hand ball. Against the Arses the ref just had a bit of a poor game in general, but the big decisions were called right.

If that's how karma is going to play us on this one, then atleast it's come about at Chelsea away.

hehe like they say, referee decisions even out over the course of a season, that's the theory anyway!

I think you chaps will be top 10 easily this season. I really like the look of your attack. Can see Benteke and Abonglohor (SP?) getting a bag of goals each.

Nice to see another side play good football too.

Future king of England in the stadium yesterday for what was a very boring game. Not quite sure how Giacherinni missed that chance though!

I think I'd like to see Kozak get a shout ahead of Benteke for one game, give the big Belgian a rest. I also hope to never see them on together again after that West Brom first half, I don't think they managed one pass to each other.

Here's hoping for a better December than last year!
