We (lfc) are being linked with Delph a lot
What's general sensous in him from people who watch him week in week out?
Gets injured a lot. Has been good this season but never really lived up to his potential before then. 95 games, 3 goals and 2 assists are not stats to get too excited about. Wouldn't be too gutted if he left at the end of the season. Don't think Villa will off-load him now - we need to stay up rather than needing immediate cash.We (lfc) are being linked with Delph a lot

My worry with us looking at him - Those stats for someone his age and role are nowhere near good enough

I omly see Villa on MOTD said don't have much view, but I wondered why you're not scoring? Lack of quality up front? No possession?
I recall the Villa who were top 8 every season and you seem a pale shadow of that team. Sad to see after the start to got.
Consistently poor business decisions during the O'Neill era led to a rocketing wage bill (90% of revenue), players being bought at inflated valuations, not played, then being shipped out for a big loss. The owner, having spent like a kid in a sweetshop, then pulled the plug (which is why O'Neill left) and has been steadily stripping cash from the club ever since. Villa now have a squad built on a shoestring, with limited quality in key positions. Benteke is decent but not long back from injury and not firing; his planned strike partner, Kozak, has been out for over a year with a broken leg and is unlikely to feature soon; another signing, Helenius, hardly featured after suffering a serious illness and has been shipped back to Denmark; Weimann is not good enough, Agbonlahor is lazy and only scores when he can be bothered and the ball is played in front of him; Delph hardly ever scores and needs to work a lot harder; NZogbia is on and off the boil and often runs down blind alleys.I recall the Villa who were top 8 every season and you seem a pale shadow of that team. On the plus side, the defence has got a lot stronger and Carles Gil looks like a decent signing and may provide the creative spark needed to get the goals going again.
But the basic problem is no money and an owner who has lost interest and can't find a buyer.
In All the matches I have watched this year we have lacked passion, it seems like nobody is bothered, nobody cares. We need somebody who can give the team a lift someone prepared to roll their sleeves up and say come on lads lets have a go. We desperately need somebody who loves the club to wear the shirt, like Ian Taylor did.
