I'd like to see him try it on some hard bitten weatherworn hack, who wouldn't be intimidated by his nonsense.
BBC Sport's old boy has taken him to task. Pearson's responses smell very strongly to me of a man on the ragged edge. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32543893
Being a PL manager in 2015 is so much more than getting results on the pitch. He is the public face of a large organisation that employs loads of people. Football wise, the club have been great, regardless of whether they stay up or not. But he has dragged their reputation into the gutter and made them a laughing stock.
A manager telling a paying fan to fk off and die. Outrageous, regardless of what the fan said to him. If the fan is verbally abusing NP, he speaks to the police or stewards and gets him ejected. But you don't talk to your paying customers like that, even if they talk to you like that.
The man's a tt. Good coach though I reckon.
I actually think that the BBC journo has made himself look a bit foolish.
Basically gone there looking for a reaction from Pearson and not getting one. Fair play to Pearson.
No need for the BBC man to ask loaded questions like 'have you ever considered anger management classes.' Idiot.

"I'm not the one who makes a fool of himself in press conferences"
"Is that correct...."
Pat Murphy turned up after the James McArthur (non) incident too. Other than that he's been nowhere near the LCFC press room this season AFAIK.
Which is interesting, as he's paid to ask questions about football - not assassinate the character of the managers.

He seem to be incapable of answering questions under pressure, he deflects by either throwing the point back or becoming insulting and aggressive. It would be better for all concerned if he let someone else do the talking and stuck to what he's good at, but I fear he's too arrogant to recognise his own limitations and I can't see the board keeping him on next season regardless of results.
Good entertainment value though, but all the attention will be now focussed on his press conferences and I fail to see how that helps the team.

I am sure the deal with Sky and others obligates him to give press conferences, regardless of his feelings.Good entertainment value though, but all the attention will be now focussed on his press conferences and I fail to see how that helps the team.

Arguably a more ridiculous rant than the one Pearson was berated for. Pat Murphy is a sanctimonious twerp.Basically gone there looking for a reaction from Pearson and not getting one. Fair play to Pearson.
