I'm sorry to hear that dreadful news. My sympathies are with you and your family.
You should be directing your sympathies to Brighton. They have come away with nothing in the play offs. At least Palace have got to Wembley and are guaranteed a fantastic occasion win or lose plus the guaranteed share of the huge revenue that will be generated on the day. They might even win and go up.
The bloke lives near Selhurst Park. Winning the Champions League would be scant consolation for that.
In a nutshell! clap

Would love to know what the real story is.

Seems a somewhat odd situation all round, but one of he parties will ultimately look a bit daft ultimately & no idea which one at the moment TBH.

Very strange. Gus was doing some Punditry for the BBC in the studio for the Confederations cup when the notice appeared on the website. Rather crap of B&HA IMO. Poor guy looked mortified on the screen but wouldn't say anything bad about them.

Well, it's been a pretty quiet start to the season in this thread. Bit like the performance on the pitch.

Haven't been able to make it to a game yet as been working away. Should be home in time for the Bolton game, but we've got a couple of tough matches ahead of that. Could really have done with a better result today to take forward into the Reading & QPR games.

Still, it's early days yet and it seems that Garcia still has to determine his best line up combination.

Bit of a worry that CMS picked up another injury and is going to be out for a further month.

Just back from the Amex. As a neutral my hinest assessment is your boys are going to have to buck their ideas up pretty quickly if this is to be a decent season. A point flatters Brighton. Shef Weds were very poor & yet treating the first half hour as a training game helped you come unstuck in a big way. Very poor evening at the office for me.

Good result today. Managed to follow on t'interweb. Seems as though "No.9, Ashley Barnes" had a good game, with another fine performance from Kusczcak.

9th place now, a win outside the play-offs thumbup

What's impressive is that Oscar has up up there with half the first team injured!

Good three points yesterday. Keeps us moving in the right direction.

Off to see the Huddersfield game on Saturday. Only the second I've been able to get to this season rolleyes

OG has been able to put a winning team together, despite the injuries. Now that we're starting to reduce the injury list and get the squad depth back, this should give him more options and lead to some good results. Play off positions by January clap

I went to the BHA Leicester game courtesy of my half brother who's a big BHA fan, and had a spare ticket. I go to quite a few games with him (including Hereford away in 97), but this was my first trip to the Amex.

Impressive ground, and a good match. But I don't get the Oscar Garcia song. It just doesn't work. For a kick off, the line "he came from Barca to bring us joy" doesn't rhyme with "please don't take my Oscar away" which it should do. That joy line has to end in a word that rhymes with "away"

And the Barney Rubble stubble line is crap. So I've re written it:

Oscar Garcia
He drinks sangria
He came from Barca, to make us play.
He likes paella
Oh what a fella
Please don't take my Oscar away.

Trust you regulars will do your bit to spread my improved version! hehe

Hope you're enjoying your celebrating! Good result this afternoon. Let's hope we can keep this momentum going at Huddersfield next week.

To be fair although we won both league games they were tight.
