Well, most of us would have taken a draw ahead of today's game at Turf Moor and I thought that we might even have come away with all three.
Just a shame that the second half descended into a bit of a bore-fest.
We didn't make the best use of the two wingers (left-footed winger on the right, right-footed winger on the left) and would have mixed things up more by having them switch sides a bit.
This was going to be a big test for us and we've managed a creditable draw against another in-form side.

Well after last season's results, I don't think any of us expected to start the season so well (21 games unbeaten ) and still be in the running for promotion.
That aside, we are here and are still getting the results to keep us in contention. Where we're letting ourselves down is in not being able to perform on a consistent basis and I think that ultimately, that will see us missing out on an "automatic" slot and having to slog it out in the play-offs. Our record in the play-offs has not been that good over the last few years and so (supporter) confidence will not be high if it goes that way.
Despite their recent "wobble", I think that Boro will probably top the table, with Hull second, but it's so close at the top now and Burnley have been putting a really good run of results together, so can't rule them out either, for an "automatic" slot.
Still got ten games to go and as you know, any team can beat any team in the Championship, so it's all to play for.
Up the Albion !

Well, Saturday's result will have done us no harm. I managed to make it up to the MK Dons game and it was great to see so many Brighton fans there.
Also great to see the players acknowledging the fans at the end of the game. Liam Rosenior threw his shirt into the Brighton end and was promptly followed by Bruno and a couple of others.
Let's hope we can maintain second place (or better) for the remaining eight games. Might be a bit of a tall order, given that Boro have got a game in hand on us, but hey, it's the Championship and one thing it does produce is odd results!

Great game yesterday and almost a full house. I think a draw was just about a fair result (despite the goal line incident.....) but we really could have used all three points.
It's certainly going to be an interesting run-in to the end of the season and I'd defy anyone to pick the top six in correct order!

I think we deserved to win it but given they had a goal not given that had crossed the line it was fair.
Barton is a disgrace however, clear deliberate stamp. Could have broken Kayal's leg. There were 2 clear red card's for him, not even a yellow. He bossed the referee around and knew exactly what he's doing.

Yes, Barton did not win any friends yesterday with that display. Unfortunately, he has his positive side, which is why Sean Dyche keeps him in the team.
It was a good tussle between him and Kayal in mid-field. And Goldson was great against Gray, especially in the air. I don't think Gray won anything in the air against him.
The whole team worked well together and I wish that we could put the same amount of effort and commitment into the start of each game as we did yesterday. Mind you, I could see that the lads were starting to get tired in the last 15 -20mins.
Also, good news that Baldock seems to have brought himself off (ooerr, missus) before his hamstring problem did any damage.

How's kayal doing with your team guys? Started off with Celtic and looked a really tidy player. Unfortunately ended up with a bad injury from a ridiculous challange while playing in an old firm game and when he returned couldn't get into the first team on a regular basis, always thought there was something about him anytime I seem him. Good luck with the run in...
Kayal is working out really well. Probably our best player just now. A good friend of mine is a big Celtic fan and he gave me the lowdown on why Kayal missed out at Celtic, so it's really good to see him doing well down here.
Some of his distribution is just fantastic, and he works pretty well with Dale Stephens in midfield.

Well, that was not a convincing win tonight. In fact in the second half Forest gained in confidence (and we allowed them to...) and were definitely looking like the team who were going to score.
So, fair play to the team effort for showing the tenacity to hang on and get the winner.
Great effort from Knocky to get the ball into the box and fair play to Sidwell (who's been pretty average so far this season) for scooping up the loose ball and getting it into the net.
We're keeping the dream alive ! (Just)
