His resignation has triggered a pay rise - how bizarre.

I just checked the BBC website and apparently its because he took a 50% wage reduction earlier, so him resigning looks like it moved back to his original wage.

Is there anything that could make Rangers finally go the way of the passenger pigeon?

So S'Ally is on gardening leave, Mike Ashley isn't allowed (the SFA say) to increase his stake in the club and the new manager (caretaker I assume) starts off with a 4 nil defeat vs Hibs. Not looking good is it.

You're right there silverfox - the media are always up the backside of the old firm.

Hibs played very well today and it looks like the psycological work on the squad is doing wonders too.

I've read this is Hibs best result against Rangers since the 5-0 win in 1912, but that's wrong - it's a different Rangers!

So it's two wins 3-1 then 4-0 this season.

Happy days smile

Must be really worrying if you're 4 points behind a team like Rangers, eh?

The Wanderer@funatthetop
7.6 million spent by fans in 1 year on merchandise.Rangers received 590,000. Sports Direct kept 7 million. We now need a 6.5 million loan.

As far as I understand it. Rangers sold the rights to their shirts and merchandise for a quick buck to SD.

I heard it's something like a few p in every pound spent in the club shop goes to them the rest to SD.

I have no idea how Rangers can be in so much turmoil. There seems to be farcical decisions being made at the top end. Whilst I hate Rangers as much as any non old firm supporting scot I have sympathy for the fans.

It's seems the big three are their to make deals for themselves knowing that the club will fail only to ask supporters for more money. Or certainly that's what I hear from the Rangers fans at work.

Basically that. A succession of folk looking for a quick buck from a football club isn't likely to go well. Now those people have control and are just keeping it on life support instead of selling up to someone who would nurse it back to full health.

Perhaps a totally new club should be started from the ground up (starting in the amateur leagues as should have been the case with sevco) , one that the support can follow as opposed to be taken for a ride by the various vultures who circle the rotten carcass of the old club.

Having said that, no one forces the fans to buy the shirts and go the matches. Football fans are too blindly loyal to know how to do a proper boycott.
