The pitch and the referee have put up more resistance to Celtic than Rangers players have.

I knew they were poor, but not that bad. Should be 4 or 5 at half time and that is without Celtic even getting out of second gear.

I did think this game would be very heated, it's been a calm stroll around the park on a Sunday afternoon.

Severe lack of competition there, just song after song of people dying. Yous done yersels proud again.

Did Gordon have to make 1 save?

Rangers were accredited with one shot off target.

The shot was a little dink cross that didn't go where it was intended and sailed over the bar.

I can't see Celtic ever having an easier game. Totally strolled about and should have been 4 or 5 up in the first half. Took their foot right off the pedal in the second and never looked in any danger.

I was expecting a lot more from the game. The referee stopped any heat building by giving a foul for absolutely everything.

The pitch didn't help one little bit. What a disgrace.

Most people expected a lot more than 2, so I'd guess that Celtic fans would be reasonably happy with winning so easily although the score didn't reflect that, and Rangers fans will be happy that it was only two, but unhappy that their team offered nothing?

Too much of a build up for that game when the end result was very predictable. It would have been a real shock if Rangers had won.

Wasn't a good advert for Scottish football. Yesterday's game was far more of a contest and an equal match.

2-0 against a very poor team from a lower league which is nothing less would have been expected. Still it's a banana skin comfortably avoided.

I see a few Celtic players giving their kit to fans after the final whistle. Perhaps it's something the Rangers squad should have considered doing before the first whistle? hehe

They can't afford to purchase replacement kits from Mike Ashley for next week!

The build up was more entertaining than the actual match.

Unless you're Lee McCulloch elbowing someone in the back of the head or stamping on them of course.

This thread is infested.

All I've heard since the beginning of Rangers being placed in Division 3 is how much the other teams think we're a new club, that being the case, why the f**k do you keep going on about us???? Surely if we're a new club, we have no history with any of you, so why is that all I ever see is Celtc fans commenting on anything Rangers related? Be it on here, other forums, news sites and even more so on Twitter.

Obsessed much rolleyes

It's all about The Rangers.

Just checked and no-one has bothered posting on the Official Celtc Thread since August 2014......further proof of the obsession since they are all posting in here.

I think a lot of people like to give Rangers a hard time after years of them gloating and being really harsh and arrogant towards other teams.

Sometimes you have to be big enough to take it back. Rangers fans have been big enough to dish it out for years, they just can't take it back. They have to draw the obsession card to deflect.

I was reading all the comments about it is all about the Rangers and even the crowd chanted "You're only here to see the Rangers" today.

What I thought was amusing about that was there was more Rangers fans at today's game than goes to watch them at Ibrox. They were more guilty of going to see the Celtic.

Many Celtic season ticket holders could not get a ticket for the game due to Rangers fans wanting a ticket when they don't watch Rangers on a regular basis.

Mind the days when Celtic and Rangers used to argue it was unfair for teams to get more tickets than normally goes to the games?

What's all this obsession nonsense that Rangers fans keep going on about?

Spend 5 minutes reading any of their forums, listen to the phone ins or speak to fans in general, they are probably more concerned about Celtic than the opposite. Today meant far more to Rangers than Celtic.

Rangers were completely outclassed by a margin bigger than just one division. Be man enough to take it on the chin. The abuse on here is very mild too.

Nonsense? They.....haven't.....posted....on....their....own.....thread.....since.....August....2014!

So obsessed with talking about Rangers, that they post in here rather than talk about their own team.

Not sure how much more proof you need? Maybe the £3000 they spent taking out an advert in a paper about Rangers? For fans who think we're a new club, that's a lot of money to spend on something you shouldn't care about.

If the shoe was on the other foot Rangers fans would be doing exactly the same. Don't kid yourself that they wouldn't

Spend 10 minutes reading a Rangers forum(or Celtic) and they are both concerned what the other is up to. I've personally found Rangers fans are more interested in Celtic to be honest. They seemed to spend an awful lot of time writing to everyone to complain about everything they though went on at Celtic, especially since liquidation. Also all the protests and boycotts with companies connected to Celtic.

I think for a large proportion of both sides it's more important to hate the other side than love your own. I think the songs sung on Sunday would tell you that for one. Many fans raised their game and rolled out the banned songs just because who they were playing.

On the whole it very is much tit for tat, just with the position Rangers are in, they are wide open for the for having pop at and they aren't really in a position to respond.

How many people actually paid for the advert?

I was surprised the paper ran with it to be honest. It was obviously to stir a reaction given the content and timing.

I think the people who cared enough already knew what the situation was with Rangers. It wasn't exactly bringing new news to anyone with an interest in football. I think every football fan knew Rangers were liquidated and had to start again.

I think the advery was directed more at the press and the SFA, than fans of "The Rangers"

There is a concerted effort by both, for obvious and self serving reasons to airbrush what happened to Rangers, from very recent history.

Every second day there are articles passed of as fact, about how they were relegated, and how they came out of administration.

The Herald had the Ad reviewed by their lawyers and the police prior to printing. It was found to be factually correct.

Would you agree that a common stipulation of many loan deals is that the players actually play?

Fair point however normal loan deals involve one club actually wanting to sign a particular player on loan. Have the Rangers management actually sought out these players or have they just been dumped on the club? If it's the latter then forcing Rangers to play them is a farce.

Love the whole providing them with a £10M loan, of which £3M is to repay a previous £3M loan.
