Isn't "Timothy" meant to echo "Tim" as in "Tim Malloys" rhyming with "The Bhoys" i.e. what Celtic fans call themselves as in "I'm a good Tim" etc etc. Why's this guy Edinburger trying to make a cultural/religious issue out of that? And how is it 'shameful'???

I also haven't seen any "religious angst". All I've seen is certain posters who don't support Rangers continually post in here to try and antagonise other posters by posting negative (mostly made-up) stories about Rangers and how terrible they are.

Yet they haven't been banned for trolling?

This makes no sense.

If Rangers fans want to talk about Celtic in their own thread and take the proverbial p**s out of the them, where's the harm in that? You don't see page upon page of Rangers fans posting in the Celtic thread, it's all the other way round. Yet they continue to be allowed to do it and antagonise other users of this forum.

We've done all this st for about 50 pages. Read up rather than going over and over.

You'll also miss all the warnings and deleted posts during the thread.

Why had everyone jumped out the woodwork tonight? I'm guessing Zetec has posted this on a Rangers forum?

Give over. I've got nothing against either Rangers or Celtic fans... although I consider myself English, my grandparents were Scottish and I have an extremely Scottish name. If I were to follow a Scots team, it would be Elgin where my grandmother grew up. I certainbly don't have any anti-Rangers or anti-Celtic bias at all, believe me.

Re the religious posts, there have been several and they get reported, dealt with and deleted very quickly at times, so quick that you might not even see them if you don't post here for a few hours. As for being on a power trip, that's rubbish too. Zetec has been warned more than once about restarting up old arguments but he doesn't listen so he's been banned. And that will go for any other poster who wants to play silly buggers and derail the thread, whatever side they are.

GG89 - feel free to point out the thread I've been overly harsh on. The only other thread that we have regular issues with on the Football Forum is the Liverpool thread and that calmed down after (a) they took the advice given to them and (b) one or two that were intent on causing trouble were banned.

If any of you seriously think I get off on banning a bloke I don't know from an internet thread then that's quite funny!

I'm the one who hasn't been handing out abuse. I've not posted what others have to be rightly banned. I've not posted "funny" pictures to wind anyone up. I've stayed on topic discussing football.

You'll find I've posted numerous times in the Aberdeen thread. It's quiet, so not much to discuss at times. Also the English teams.

Nobody else is ever offended.

Maximum disruption? LOL. You must have a life in a fairy world or something.

I'm a huge fan of football and enjoy it very much. I watch a lot, I've played a bit and I pay lot of attention.

My knowledge certainly isn't bad.

You can quote as many people as you like, even when they were out of context. Most of the things people use as evidence, weren't actually close to what people assume they said.

How many people have said Rangers aren't Rangers? The list is long including a lot of "Rangers men".

The fact is you ended up in the third division as Rangers ceased to exist. Your registration ended.

After you were granted permission to join the third division, under a new license, you had no access to European competition as there was no historical accounts to account for the club.

In the last year we've seen two other club being liquidate. Hereford and Parma for the second time.

They seem to understand what liquidation means and the Hereford chairman has been very vocal on his opinion.

It's actually benefitted the team as they've gained loads of supporters.

I wish Rangers do manage to survive, but we simply can't pretend liquidation means nothing.

Again though, we've done this a million times in this thread. You're trying way too hard to justify yourself.

The subtle digs at each other, the (deleted) religious crap, the constant bickering over whether Celtic fans should be on an open forum to discuss Rangers and the childish, petty images are bad enough but now, I'm biased against Rangers fans too.

Had a little think last night about what to do and the only sensible thing is to close the thread. And before anyone says "Ohh, it wasn't that bad last night", I know it wasn't but the thread has been warned for several weeks now that things need to take an upturn and they've been ignored from all sides.

So well done, gents, you've lost your thread!
