I hate to come across all "mourinho" but it seems Barca always get a fortunately timed, contentious decision/penalty/red card when they most need it.
And there we have it.

Entertaining.... First two weren't spotters so evens out... Last one was in fairness. Great game smile

Not quite evens when one resulted in a red card.

But it was a red if there was contact and Neymar had a goal scoring opportunity.
Great league this season. I hope Atletico are still there at the end of the season.

The second Messi penalty, two keepers couldn't have kept that out.

Great game, but Iniesta and Messi are just different class. Would love to see them in the prem. Preferably at Chelsea, but realistically only Man City could ever hope to sign them.

Why are Athletico above Real when Real have a better goal difference?

What a farce. Cracking first half with some tremendous play... then the diving fest begins.

3 pens that weren't with a ludicrous sending off and then every contact involves rolling around feigning who is hurt the most. The team leading use every opportunity to create controversy and waste even more time. Virtually no footballing skills on show at all for the last half hour.

A very sorry spectacle.

It goes by head to head in La Liga if they are on the same points.

Thanks. And that's a great system.

I feel the same. Too many people gloss over the cheating, conning, diving because of the great play. There are some great players on show - yet it's spoiled by unsportsmanlike conduct.

El Clasico - more like El Circus.

Two of the biggest 'small time' clubs in the world.

Totally agree, the second half was absurd. Ref seemingly playing his part in it and trying to steal center stage doesn't help either. Say what you like about the EPL but at least most of the time the teams actually want to play football and not rely solely on cheating and deception.

The system has plenty of opportunity to be tragically bad as well. Too much emphasis on not losing or winning a couple of games.

Can anyone please explain why Real Madrid aren't top of the league despite having the same number of points and a better goal difference over Atletico Madrid?

What a load of complete xenophobic bks.

3 pens, the first was a foul just outside the box but at such speed that you couldn't blame the ref for not spotting that. The 2nd was debateable, but after 10 slo mo replays for 5 different angles it was still hard to say if there was contact or not. Couldn't blame the ref for that either. And the 3rd was a stonewall penalty.

It was fabulous entertainment and some brilliant football was played. And the penalty taking was just superb. What's not to like?
