AC better have been paying his fking wages! Liverpool remind me of the British government when it comes to transfer policy.

Erm, I hope it is true! hehe

As you say this particular transfer 'deal' was dreamed up in cuckoo land where we get royally fked over. If he doesn't get 25 games and we have him back, I'd be all over that like a cheap suit. I thought he was doing ok over there? (At least until a couple of months ago)

I would welcome him back with open arms, thing is he's never settled in England and always said he wanted to return to Italy. So if we do take him back how long is left on his contract?

he could sit on his arse for 12 months and leave on a free.

Why do you think that?

Our wage bill is 30 million less than last season. Cole and Aqua are not getting paid by LFC (though we'll have to wait and see if we are paying a percentage of their wages)

Because first Juve had an agreement for 13m after a year’s loan, didn’t happen, then its AC Milan for 6.1 m and that looks like not happening.

If it's possible for both Tottenham AND Chelsea to come 6th then that would be great.

Last post on that thread is two years old. Juve part is true as I understand the deal but it isn't the same deal with AC, is it?

If anything those deals show what st that has gone on under our previous owners/directors/managers.

I'd rather we gave Cole and Aqua away in a raffle than see either back for us. Let's move on. Imo.

We have been heavily subsidising both Aquilani and Cole's wages.

Aquilani has played well this season and is only now not being played in case they trigger the purchase clause.

I know he hasn't settled here but that's as much our fault as his.

This is one of the rare times I agree with Glen. We should bring him back and play him.

Whatever anyone thinks of Adam or the potential of Henderson, Aquilani is a much better footballer. I'd love to see him in a 3 man midfield here next season alongside Lucas and Gerrard.

Aqua has only 13 starts this season 21 games in all. Not setting the world alight. If AC don't want him for 6 million you have to ask why, Shirley?

It's not just about whether he's good enough for them though. Neither Henderson or Adam would have managed that many starts combined for AC.

Aquilani is a better player than what we currently have. You can disagree with that by all means. Given the choice of who plays next to Lucas and Gerrard I'd rather it be Aquilani rather than Adam or Henderson.

Given the choice of where we spend our money in the summer I'd rather it was on a world class striker and winger rather than trying to bring in another central midfielder.
