well this game is a perfect summary of our season.
- we controlled the game
- we made plenty of chances (again hitting the woodwork a couple of times)
- we played some great attacking football
- we just couldn't put the ball in the net!
As with so many games of this ilk this season, the setup can't be blamed. the team selection and formation are justified because of the way we bossed possession and because of the array of golden opportunities that were created. no doubt the mongs will somehow find a way to blame this game on kenny though.
in the grand scheme of things it makes little difference to our season now. it's so frustrating though.

Shower? Liverpool have hammered WBA, just cant seem to get the ball in the net, at times in the first half Liverpool played some excellent football.
This is what I really cannot understand about a lot of Liverpool supporters, especially on PH. Football is all about putting the ball in the net, everything else is secondary. Goals win games, end of story.cotney said:

It does make a difference though, because if this form continues, you could find yourself finishing in the bottom half of the table.2seas said:
this is what i can't understand about a lot of Liverpool supporters. Good football comes first, results second. Would you take a champs league place if it meant watching us play like stoke every game of the year? If it comes to that then it's a sad day for LFC and a sad day for football.
Yeah, all those Chelsea fans were well pissed off winning the league twice in a row under Mourhino.2seas said:

You misunderstand Thom, of course results come first, today I'd have taken a scrappy 1-0 win rather than play well (which we did) and lose like today. However I don't see how you can call todays performance a 'shower', it wasn't. We played pretty well. However we can't keep saying it is bad luck, it has happened way too many times this season.
