this is what i can't understand about a lot of Liverpool supporters. Good football comes first, results second. Would you take a champs league place if it meant watching us play like stoke every game of the year? If it comes to that then it's a sad day for LFC and a sad day for football.
Yeah, all those Chelsea fans were well pissed off winning the league twice in a row under Mourhino.10 Pence Short said:

Chelsea are just a Stoke with more flair and tantrums.
And trophies. Not that they're important, as long as you're playing pretty football and putting dents in the bar.GALLARDOGUY said:

Justice for Roy Hodgson today, delighted for him.
What a strange thing to say.I wasn't aware he'd been wronged and suffered some injustice...
So yes, he did suffer and injustice and so today was justice indeed.

Really, he was vilified by the Liverpool fans virtually from the day he joined the club and was given just 31 games in charge of a club in decline, who as far as I can see are still in decline yet Dalglish doesn't seem to suffer the same kind of negativity as Hodgson did.
So yes, he did suffer and injustice and so today was justice indeed.

hosgson was vilified for slagging off his own fans and for his negative tactics. we were a combination of dire and awful to watch.

His level will be above Liverpool by the end of the season.

Completely wrong in my book. Results are the important thing, good football, while important is not the be all and end all. Putting the ball in the net, or rather the lack of it is why we are 8th in the league and the main reason there are so many questions over Kennys future. We don't have to play like Stoke to get results. Thom987 said:

He lost his job because his team under performed, as will Dalglish. As do all managers.
The only difference is that Kenny obviously has more goodwill in the bank due to his history with the club. How could it be otherwise?
Theres no injustice whatsoever.

in the grand scheme of things it makes little difference to our season now. it's so frustrating though.
It does make a difference though, because if this form continues, you could find yourself finishing in the bottom half of the table.Thom987 said:

We don't have to play like Stoke to get results. i love football, watching and playing. i want the team i love to play good football in the right spirit. the ethos of the game will always be more important to me than results. don't get me wrong - i hate, utterly hate, to lose. but i wouldn't take winning at the cost of good football. i don't expect us to come out attacking and playing great football every game of the season - there will be lulls and a scrappy victory here and there is part of the game. but i want out general outlook to be moving in the direction of a side that plays positive attacking football.

Well it sure is one less game left to endure. Of course we were unlucky but if it's the same week in week out it stops being that.
Really thought the subs cost us today. Until then we were dominating.
Suarez even with his amazing ability to wiggle past players has one major fault. He really needs to look up and pass the ball more than he is doing.
Carroll didn't do anything too bad. Didn't do anything too well either. It's clear that he needs more time and more chances than he's likely to get at a team with our aspirations.
Downing when he came on was awful. His corner is what started the move to the goal although Johnson's arrogance was inexcusable. At least with Carroll the lad is trying. The same really can't be said of Downing.
I thought Henderson has a much better game in the middle but the problem with playing him and Spearing as a midfield 2 is that there just isn't the consistent quality or consistency in passing the ball forwards.
West Brom had 2 very good chances in the first half and another one in the second as well. Roy was never good enough to manage Liverpool. I think we all agree with that. The truth is that Dalglish is arguably no better, even after having 3x a long and over 10x as much money to spend.
The best we can wish for is for Dalglish to win us the cup and use that as his get out and move upstairs.

The fact is he was given a fair crack of the whip but failed on the pitch and with his strange comments, so paid the price.
Dalglish may have been extended some goodwill Hodgson didn't receive but he will lose his job soon too unless there is a huge change in our fortunes.
