I am not surprised it was closed - certain posts lowered the tone to an unacceptable level IMO.

Still, very pleased with the result bearing in mind the players.

It is quite refreshing expecting the worst and seeing a good game.

So, the Europa thread has been shut as well... This is getting out of hand now, talk about total discrimination! Frustrating to say the least, not insulting or trying to piss the mods off, but you can't have a football section & expect people just to pretend a team does not exist!!!!

The Europa League Thread was simply an attempt to circumvent the closure of the LFC thread. No other teams needed it because they haven't had their thread closed. Garlick made it clear about when a thread would be opened again, but people ignored that and took it upon themselves to do as they please instead.

It didn't seem to be the case that it was opened for that reason. Chat was more lfc-centric in the immediate run up to the game and during it. Started off as a general thread as can be seen on the first page.

I *think* that was the general direction things went.

I also seem to remember someone saying the tech guys couldn't find out who it was for some reason?

Oh and of course we all have to behave when the new thread reopens. Of this I have little faith, I can't see a new Liverpool thread coming anytime soon.

Didn't seem to be exactly what Garlick said on his thread the other day. Was mentioned by others though that that would sort things out. I'd take more notice of Garlick's posts. He da boss...
