Just when you think mankind has already dreamt up and carried out the dumbest ways to die you get hit with another doozy. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-...
On a lighter note the Dundee players did this

Erik Ramela's goal last night:
http://www.thescore.com/news/611749
Great goal, very flash - but was it really something a manager would want his players trying in a match? And his quote afterwards...
"I wasn't thinking about doing something like that, I just wanted to score and it was the most effective, comfortable way of making it happen"
Really? Like hell it was. If he came out and said "I'm a cocky so and so who was arrogant enough to think I'm entitled to try that in an important game and thank God it came off!" I'd appreciate his honesty

Mesmerising wasn't it, I must have watched that vine at least 50 times, I suppose what you are saying makes perfect sense but that clip will be shown all over the world & bring a bit of attention for Lamela & Spurs, http://www.thescore.com/news/611749

I'm hoping this is just the tip of the iceberg of the quality & skill that he has to offer,
Was a great goal and a lovely bit of skill. I saw a vid of Harry Kewell take a penalty like that once - but in training. Weird thing to try and do in a match. Imagine you were 0-0 in the final 5 minutes and he tried that and screwed it up when a straight forward shot was likely to go in...
"South Africa's football captain and goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa has died after being shot, South African police say.
The incident reportedly happened at Meyiwa's girlfriend's house in Vosloorus, south of Johannesburg."

The Premier league table is still looking a little strange. Chelsea are running away with it and unless some of the challengers get with the program soon, it could be a 1 horse race.
Surprised to see the poor form of Spurs, Everton, Arsenal and Man Utd, but sure they will all pick up soon.
Great to see other teams up there (Saints and West Ham

I did not realise Dvid James had declared himself bankrupt.

How the actual. Or is this perhaps some clever paper exercise to keep his earnings from his ex during his divorce?

He has earned lots of money, so it's either mismanagement or a clever ploy..... get the feeling it is not a clever ploy http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance...

I always thought he had an additional brain cell when compared to the average Premiership 'tard, but that's now a call.
Apparently working in the new Indian league, so probably escaping or needs the money.

Watching Sit-on-the-fenceman Howard Webb on MNF at the moment - ffs - he's like a skilled politician, saying a lot while saying nothing.
Thanks christ he retired. He's a great spokeman for the ref's association but he's fking hopeless as far as coming out and saying yes or no, or I would do this, I would do that, that is right, that is wrong etc ...

Just as footballers that become pundits after they retire, I'd imagine he is not wishing to give too many of his ex-colleagues a hard time in his first season out of the sport. Give it a few more seasons and he will become far more critical/honest in his observations. Thanks christ he retired. Bloody hell. As dives go, this is truly shameful. Wish they could retrospectively charge him with misconduct / disrepute or something. He deserves a three game ban for this.

Master Blib [12] has decided that he will no longer watch matches from the Championship and below. From now on it's premiership or euro Cups for him. I'm gobsmacked about this. He says lower league football is not worth watching.
I've got a member of the prawn sandwich brigade in my own family
He'll soon change his tune when Spurs are relegated.
