Birmingham City sack their manager whilst in 7th place and 3 points off 3rd place. Every time I read stories like this I think that the sport of football is becoming much more of a business than a sport. Gary will soon get snapped up!

It's the way clubs are being sold to overseas owners who have no knowledge of the game that worries me.

Agree with you. Oversees owners will milk the club and then at some point, following football will become unaffordable for most people

So they sack their manager, announce they will be seeking an immediate replacement and amazingly have one within 6 hours. No chance of them having sorted that out in advance then! Reflects badly on them and Zola.

"do you want to manage our club when we get rid of the current manager?"
"ok"

Don't worry, the FA have the Fit and Proper Persons test to stop this sort of thing. Which has stopped a grand total of one takeover.

See, I cant understand this either. Just make you think the powers-that-be want more of a 'name' in charge. Didn't work at Watford did it? And then Flores soon went after a decent season!?

Swansea haven't got any better since Monk went through his blip and got sacked. Might as well still been there, I'm sure they'd be higher than now.

My view is that Fifa should take a running jump. The teams and players were absolutely right to wear the armbands which could never be construed as being political.

FOFIFA.

Could it get any more ridiculous in football ?
The Brazilian FA have fined the team who lost most of their players and staff in a plane crash for not fulfilling their fixtures .
You couldn't make it up !

I can't believe this. What on earth would possess anyone to write anything so utterly vile.

Saw that too. God knows what preceded it but there's no excuse for that. Some places you just don't go.

Young, thick and pissed. That combined with the ability to shout at people from across the world. Twitter is inhabited by two types of people, those that shout in the street and those that bray in wine bars IMO.

Completely disgusting, he's being given way to much publicity for it in my book! on five live last night he (and his dad) were given airtime for an official interview hes getting lots of newspaper inches this morning. I cant help but think that's the reason these idiots do things like this.

Far better not to give the mouth breather any publicity at all imo.
