Going to my first MLS game on Tuesday, Atlanta United vs San Jose Earthquakes and its independence day so there will be fireworks after the game
Very interested to see what the quality is like and should be good fun

Cool. Is there a flypast too?

I expect there will be cheerleaders, flypasts, fireworks and x factors singers... and maybe even a game of football (soccer)

Expecting hot dogs, popcorn, beer and lots of "offense and defense" talk...

I'll tell Y'all about it after my shrimp and grits

An acquaintance took her son to see Chicago Fire's first game of the season and she reported post match fireworks and "everyone invited onto the pitch" - with photos to prove it. Try that here I guess and people would be ripping up the turf...

Atlanta United vs San Jose 4-2

Highlights above, but there were some major differences between this and a Premier league game
- No swearing.... It's part of the rules and the chants are clean and people are really not allowed to shout profanities
- Very family friendly with loads of kids there
- No bags allowed inside the ground, no umbrellas and a very strict set of rules
- Encouraged to stand despite the seats
- Airport style security

Game was pretty tepid in the first half, but turned on a sending off for San Jose. Some decent goals in the 2nd half and Martinez for Atlanta looks like a decent finisher

Can't see that in the UK. Don't really think any of those rules would be welcomed here but that's a shame I think.

I feel dreadful saying this but today is the first time I've caught Soccer AM in years. What on earth has Helen done to her face cry She was aging nicely thank you very much but botox seems to have ruined her more than Leslie Ash. Sad times.

I heard during the week she won £1m playing poker, perhaps she treated herself.

Yes, I saw something with her on a few months ago. Awful really, such an attractive woman but looks very odd now.

Transfers this season seem to be going crazy, Man City today spending £52 million for a left back- that is one expensive back 4.

Women's football is embarrassing. Watched 10 minutes of the Scotland v Portugal game. 3 mis-kicks that missed the ball completely, one leading to a goal. And don't get me started on the goalkeepers!
