I have no doubt. Revenge for the racism perhaps, served nice and cold. Can't say I blame him tbh if the messages are true. Some pretty disgusting stuff in them.

I haven't heard the interview myself (no sound at work) but apparently Tan said a while ago the truth will come out at some point, and Tan would no longer be the bad guy in what happened.

LMA say the texts were just "banter". Further increases my hatred for that word, seemingly used by s to get away with saying anything they like.

I know footy is a "man's world" and all that - but how can that crap be banter in 2014? We're not in the 1970s anymore. Although he clearly is...

The LMA have apologised for their apology, they are rightly taking a battering on twitter from ex pros

The LMA apologises for some of its wording, in its release yesterday, which was inappropriate and has been perceived to trivialise matters of a racist, sexist or homophobic nature. That was certainly not our intention.

"It is beyond argument that any comments that are discriminatory, even used in private, are totally unacceptable. The LMA remains absolutely aware of our responsibility to the game and to promote and uphold the highest standards of behaviour.

"The LMA will not be commenting further on the allegations relating to Malky Mackay whilst The FA conducts its investigation, other than to repeat that both the LMA and Malky will be cooperating fully.

"We will continue to work with all of the game's stakeholders to address the important issues of respect and discriminatory behaviour in all its forms."

Sounds like the first statement that went out wasn't very well thought through, or authorised by high ups in the organisation.

There are calls now for the Head of the LMA to resign - if he does I hope he gives his press people a kick first.

I wonder how many people have not made or received or forwarded something deemed offensive to someone somewhere?

I'm not "Mr PC" by any stretch - and people are far too quick to take offence at many things these days - but those texts were pretty abusive. Very stupid.

Steven Nolan on Radio 5 live saying that Malky Mackay should never be allowed back into football.

Let's hope that his emails, txts or "banter" with mates are squeaky clean or he should never be allowed a job in broadcasting!

Was very good, Beeb stuff like this normally is.

Someone chopping onions in my kitchen when Des Lynam came on at the end there saying he was proud to have been involved. He's not looking that well at the minute, is Des.

It was good, although I was unsure about Lethal Bizzle. Yeah Des didn't look great, he was the presenter I grew up with as well.

yeah and human rights in Malaysia are really high priority. It's the real world and this stuff happens all of the time. Live with it, it's simply words, so ignore them. A perfect example of the media who themselves are full of the worst racist, xenophobic and homophobic examples to be found.

Funny I thought that when I saw a preview clip this week and he was talking on it. Not well at all, poor fella.

Ludogorets Razgrad (dunno) just knocked out Steaua Bucuresti in a penalty shoot out to qualify for the Champions League. Only their keeper was sent off in extra time with no keeper on the bench, so a centre half went in goal. Scored his own penalty then saved two. hehe
