I didn't listen to it so will have a stab. Assume it's based on player sales.

If just for UK (not in order):

- Spuds
- L'Pool
- S'hmpton
- Swansea
- Crewe wink

Yes , player sales

The top team was English & it is one of the teams above selling a staggering total of 442M Euro's since 2010

2 Valencia
3 Juventus
4 Benfica
5 Porto

Surprised that Juve are in that list (although we'll probably be bunging them £20m+ for Zaza soon).

Would have put Valencia (just went UK based for some reason) but wouldn't have thought of the others - who did Porto sell for big money?

Dare say losing Torres, Suarez and Sterling had a lot to do with that!

Can't see how that's surprising, you can't spend more than 30 seconds with a Liverpool fan before they bring up the net spend argument

1/4 of the way through the season & only 1 point separating the top 5 teams !

No wonder we all love the premier league .

Bloody brilliant isn't it.
Its actually more like it used to be, before the Prem was set up. For years, the Prem was a 1 or 2 horse race. At least the last few seasons there are more teams capable of winning it again, so yes its got better in that sense.
Incredibly some Utd fans still think they'll win the title. I think it has to do with it in the old days being a two-horse race - them and the Gooners and usually no matter how far the Londoners were ahead, Utd would always somehow claw it back. Problem is that now, for them, it ain't one team ahead, it's half a dozen. Makes for a much more interesting season, with positions changing every week.

I'd be so disappointed if the Scottish FA & ours we pay any kind of fine to Fifa over this poppy thing.

i'd rather tell them to go fk themselves. I'd quite happily see us get banned from all competitions for the next two world cups. They need us more than we need them.

FIFA > shout go fk yourself.

Someone has worked out which clubs have gone the longest without ever being at the top or bottom of the top four leagues

https://experimental361.com/2016/11/16/longest-tim...

Longest without being at the top are Barnsley at an impressive 13 years, longest without propping up the league are Chelsea at just shy of 30 years

Incredible amount of goals again this week in the EPL, 26 in just 6 games, on average more than 4 per match.

Not that I'm complaining but defending out of fashion in the EPL ?
