That Little Genius…

Not much left to achieve in fairness to him. He hardly needs the money, would be nice to see him continue playing because he wants to and where he wants to rather than just for the most cash.
I have read it’s not exactly safe for a lot of these guys going back to play for their home teams.
Back to Barca for a nominal wage would be a nice touch.

I seem to remember him saying some years ago in a rare interview he hoped to finish his career in the MLS as he wanted his kids to finish their education in the USA. At least the MLS is probably a more competitive league now, than the middle east. He's won everything now, so MLS makes sense from a family pov, middle east would just be about money, and he's not exactly short of that.

That would be my guess too. He's won everything now, so MLS makes sense from a family pov, middle east would just be about money, and he's not exactly short of that.

Every contract he has ever signed was the one paying the most money.
Indeed, Saudi Arabia would be my bet.Challo said:

I'd agree that he's likely to go to whoever offers the most.
No need for high level football as he would likely still walk into the Argentina team on legacy alone.

Not really his fault that his market value is/was ridiculous, comes with the territory.
