Anybody else getting bored with the Messi worship?

You can't watch a Barcelona game on Sky without at least 25 mins of Messi wking by the commentators. Starting to wind me up. He's good, you don't need to keep explaining that to us!

Have you seen the suit he's just picked up the award in?

Hopefully he's wearing it for a bet.

Messi is a bit like the george best of our generation - something we've not really seen the likes of before.

I reckon he will try his boots on somewhere else in his career though - unlikely to be the prem, more likely Italy I would say.

I think to become truly one of the best ever, he must move on to another league. Not the Prem though, he'd be wasted on that rubbish, and he'd show it up for what it is at the moment. Alex Ferguson never moved on from man Utd.....se where this is going?!

Why should he move? No other league really that can offer him the challenge of a great deal of difference, if you've discounted the premiership.

No bigger club, he can't move to Madrid, nor would he ever, I suspect.

Pretty much the only person of note saying he's not the best now is Pele.

And this he's got to perform at a World Cup or internationally? Rubbish, the best players are all in the Champions league now and look a his stats for last season for Argentina. Pretty darnn special.

The prancing pony at Madrid must be sick tonight. Hat trick? Sorry , sir, just not good enough!

Wish they'd stop comparing him to Ronaldo. As great as Ronny is at what he does (stepover x100, loses it, paddy) he just isn't as good as Messi.

He's created a new top level in talent. He really is amazing.

The comparisons to Ronaldo are made as he's the closest to him, but hes still light years behind the little man. The debate whether he's the greatest of all time is getting more and more rediculous as time goes by. The answer is painfully obvious after every match he plays.

Yes. Without a doubt.

I suppose it helps that they play in the same league but why no mention of Falcao, Llorente etc.

I think a Falcao-Ronaldo comparison is possibly closer than Messi-Ronaldo but obviously less interesting.

Then when Neymar eventually arrives... wobble

Neymar has more to prove doesn't he, we certainly don't know how good he is until he moves to Europe.

Comparing La Liga and Prem is daft, you don't see Barca getting a shock cup exit to a 3rd division team.
