Cheib said: I thinK Walcott's expires next summer at the same time as RVP so they should be negotiating with him this summer...if they want to keep him. Blimey, maybe it's an oversight or perhaps the board are playing this particular player at their own game. Wenger seems to have an input, maybe he's not bothered about losing him.

I suspect Mr Abrmaovich think that counts towards his spending......... Then he spent £120 mil on players http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003%E2%80%9304_Chels...And then of course there's the losses Chelsea were making from the huge wage bill. So he was probably into Chelsea for £250mil in the first year...

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/252958/Ar...This is probably b ks. Although if the story is at least loosely true then us being able to offer regular football must be a plus. I mean a gifted 21-year-old must want to play as much as possible right? Surely money can't be the only factor? Very sad if it is. IMO I reckon he'll go to Chelsea; second-best wages but more chance of staying off the bench compared to City. Anyhoo, if he does join us I'll put some BBQ sauce on a hat and attempt to eat it. I'll also post pictures, with custard.

I would love to believe it too........
I mean, we still should have the Cesc and Nasri money burning a hole????
But, they will offer him 60k a week, the same as Diaby....

Yeah, and if we do actually get rid of the deadwood we don't have an excuse to not splash out on at least one £20m plus player.
It's not something we should or be expected to do every summer, but surely now is the time to push the relative boat out.

As much as I'd love to see him at Arsenal I doubt we'd spend that much on one player, they're already umming and arring over M'Vila! If we have got that sort of cash burning a hole in our pockets, and its a big if, they'd be better off splitting it between the two or three players we really need.

Hazard has been touting himself around all year , Looks like he only seems interested in money , can you really see the sensible board at Arsenal paying £32m+ for a footballer ? i can't

Agreed, it'd be nice to have both though. I caught something on Arseblog about M'Villa looking less likely now, apparently we're looking at another DM in Ligue 1. Name escapes me.

(I reserve the right to 180 this opinion should he sign for Utd) Oi Keyser - guard thy tongue. As a 16 year old I was on £2.54/ hour at Pondstretcher Ltd (pre-minimum wage) and I would have given my left testicle to work for something like £3-5/ hour at somewhere like Next or Argos
