Snore. zzz. RVP to see out his contract next year. He will score 30 goals plus and we will win a big trophy. Then Wenger will stick him on the one year rolling contract as he will be over 30. Happy days. Snore. zzz.

There's speculation that we could do a deal with Barcelona to bring David Villa in for RVP. He's been injured for a long time but if he can get back to his best then I wouldnt be too unhappy with that. Podolski and villa leading the attack?? Sounds Good to me.

I'd pack RVP's bags and drive him to the airport for that 18 months older but one of the few current top-class forwards to have a better goals to game ratio than RVP, across more games too. I've been a massive fan of his since his Zaragoza days, a 'complete' centre-forward who can do pretty much everything- I've always wanted him to come to the premiership (Arsenal or not!). However I personally think Barca would have to be madder than a box of frogs to entertain an RVP/Villa swap deal. Even at 30, once he's back to full fitness (he's been out since December with a broken tibia so should make the start of the season) I'm fairly certain he'll be banging the goals in for Barca (and Spain) yet again. For all Messi's utter brilliance, Villa has definately been missed at times the seond half of their season. I reckon we can safely file that one in the drawer labled 'not going to happen'.

Going to be an interesting season for the two great North London clubs.
Can Spurs get that Champions League spot and can Barnet Town stay up!
