Phew. Close one there. Talk about leaving it late  The scarf-waving looked brilliant. K junior has a scarf, but not me .... that was until Kingsley threw one at me just before kick-off  Top of the table. That will do

Very close indeed, showed real spirit to keep the pressure on. Great for Alf to come on and get a couple as well. I wasn't going to come on here and moan about the way Leeds played, but I've just watched this interview with Warnock and it's wound me up! http://t.co/He8vvQ0JCan't believe his comments, Leeds were persistently fowling and started the time wasting even before half time. Poor Jem got a knock last week at West Ham and then an even bigger one today, will really miss him if he's out (especially with Tabb injured too). They didn't come to play football and it really showed. They don't deserve a place in the playoffs if they approach every game like that.

Cracking result today for Portsmouth (and us! Cheers Pompey).
Anybody else making the trips on Tuesday/Friday? Both absolutely crucial games now..

Karacan out for the rest of the season  will definitely miss him. I guess we'll be playing McAnuff in the middle with Leigertwood with Kanu taking the wing from Jobi? Leaves us open a bit defensively, but going forward could be very handy!

Absolutely not forgotten Brighton tomorrow night, but focused on the 3-points win on Friday night. IMHO, no matter what happens tomorrow, the win on Friday night will be the clincher

Hammers draw and 1-0 is enough to desptach Brighton. 6 point buffer now, surely it's enough even if we lose to the saints?

Just got back from the Amex (long journey back to London!).
Wow, what a game. Brighton really know how to pass the ball and create space, their wingers constantly hugging the touchline, etc. I think we really missed Ledge and Jem today, we definitely lacked in midfield.
Cywka had a poor game as did Kebe, the defence on the other hand were brilliant (including Federici and the peno save!).
Friday is going to be huge now, have taken the afternoon off work to allow for some pre-match beers and a nice relaxed journey down to Soton.

Just got home tonight after a long (4 pint  ) stop at a Premier Inn in Chandlers Ford. Quality game, absolutely fantastic atmosphere and a great result. Alf proving again that if he gets the chance he'll score. Super sub? Inspired change by McDermott. Lets see what happens tomorrow and on Tuesday, then it could be celebration time!!
