Your always going to get tit for tat, but some cant take it, i call you the unwashed, you call me newco, to me its banter, to others its a report.

where do you draw the line as you will always, always get it, Its Rangers v Celtic, its the way its always going to be.

i did think on the other Rangers thread that it was baised towards the Celtic point of view, but hey its a opinion, we all have them
You've said plenty worse than that on here, stuff that in the street would see you get more than a cyber slap on the wrists, so stop playing the innocent

It's not a foreign country for some of the away support wink

Moving foward, perhaps can we just totally ignore any posts with an agenda made by certain posters. By this stage we know who these people are and what they're fishing for, so let's not give them the attention they crave.

Rumours that Dermot is in talks with some Yanks regarding a buy out (and not a Celtic franchise)

We should tell them to truck off biggrin

Genuine question here, is Dermott the major share holder and by how much?.

Dermott Desmond 35.3%
Bank of New York 12.9%
Christopher Trainer 10.5%
James Keane 6.4%
Tom Allison 3.6%
Denis O'Brien 2.8%
Peter Lawwell 0.3%
Brian Duffy 0.25%

1 to 2% are Willie Haughey, Jim Kerr and Gerald Wiesfeld.

Stolen from Talk Celtic forum, but sounds about right

They're even more confused than the rest. Supporting a team in a foreign country because...

The celtic fan base has a worldwide diaspora, whereas as Hugh Adams remarked after doing his marketing research, in comparison, Rangers didn't have as such (outside of small ex-pat pockets)

Pretty narrow outlook that you can only be a fan of a club in your own country

As well you know we're not talking about ex-pats or guys in Boston with an Irish cousin twice removed.

Rangers worldwide fanbase has absolutely no bearing on the issue at hand. Got to laugh at your narrow outlook jibe though, given your input to the other thread.

Guys,

Just a heads-up, that I've opened up a new Gers thread, with the following polite notice:

Kinky said:
NOW READ THIS
Now, over and above the PH posting rules, ts & Cs, etc, etc, there is 1 simple additional rule here, if ANYONE steps out of line either on this thread, or trolling the Bhoys, will result in a permanent ban on the whole football forum. I don't care if you're a long-timer with a 100% clean record, or a newbie. There will be no warnings.

If I don't like what's been posted, then it's a ban and absolutely no discussion will be entered into, and no amount of begging or pleading at PH Towers will make no difference.

And in case no-one believes me, I refer to the Liverpool thread of old.

My tolerance levels on this topic will be zero.

Now go to it and please keep it civil and polite, otherwise just don't bother. And if the urine is extracted, then I'll just shut it all down.
Please do not go and troll on that thread as the rules and statement above equally applies to all.

I see Celtic have put out a statement about the EBT case today.

Is everyone expecting the titles to be added to Celtic, or just null and void?

I'm in with the second part. I wouldn't want them in the circumstances, but they can't just be left.

Everyone with any sense knew the EBTs were dodgy and you simply can't argue that more money isn't going to pay for a higher standard of player. I honestly can't accept any other view point as it is so clear.

I know that the case can be appealed, but I don't think anyone will waste any more money on what is clear cut and should have been dealt with a long time ago.

Going by the history of what's gone before, you can bet those with the powers will do all they can to avoid getting involved. They always try to hide away and not upset one side or the other.

Anyone with half a braincell knew that they got a sporting advantage through cheating (EBT).

Whether they give the titles to the runners up or just void them will be up to the SFA or the court for arbitration in sport.

While they are at it they can decide on "schodringers cat" situation at rangers!

Disguised remuneration is not a loan but it is tax evasion.
