Scotland Act 2012 changed the official name from Assembly to Government.
It was Executive not Assembly, but in any case it can't do things real governments can, so isn't a government in my book.

Anyway, this is a Celtic thread I normally don't comment on. I made a throwaway comment about the SNP and it's turned into yet another independence thread, and we've got enough of them already so I'll leave you to discuss all things green and grey. smile

About time Lawwell got his finger out, we've also been linked with Patrick Bamford & Nathaniel_Chalobah

Not the best performance, I'm looking at you McGregor, Armstrong & Browm, but you'd take 1-1 away from home in Europe every day of the week

All in all a good result with a makeshift defence.

Agreed, difficult surface, long journey, ambrose at the back, happy with a score draw. Hopefully finish the job next week. HH

Not been on for ages, but not much has changed.

Technodup still always talking about Celtic proclaiming that he doesn't usually. There appears to be an exception every single time.

The result against Lincoln Red Imps was beyond embarrassment. Scottish teams just can't carry on playing games when they are so far out of preparation, but that doesn't excuse the result. It's quite regular for professional teams to lose against poor teams in warm up games and that's what this game looked like. Second leg was a bit better.

I didn't expect Hibs to push Brondby so far, but the Hearts score was also embarrassing.

Aberdeen were unlucky on Thursday. I thought they should have won that game against Maribor. They had quite a few good chances and the majority of the game. It's a different scenario going over to Slovenia.

Aberdeen are just a little short of a couple of players, but they are a better side than last year. They'll finish a comfortable second this year.

We need a few more signings. Our frailty at the back is there for all to see. Kolo will hopefully provide a short term fix in defence for the next year.

There have however been some encouraging signs.

It's been a tough pre season/ European start, so we should be prepared for the league.

Toure had some weak games for Liverpool last season, but he was by a mile their MOTM in the Europa final. The hope is he's got those legs.

I fell sorry for Ambrose. There is actually not a bad player in there, but the amount of serious errors stand out a mile. His confidence is shot to bits and he's just a jibbering wreck of a man. Pressure and trying too hard leads to mistakes. He also completely shuts off at times.

He won't be near the team once everyone is back. He does need to move on for everyone's benefit though.

I'm still surprised after splashing the cash for BR that the signings haven't followed. I guess there's still a budget to stay within realistic finances.

Dembele hasn't looked the player people have suggested so far. A lot of people have said this guy will be special. He's been a bit ste so far.

I just wish they could do it an easier way. They always put the fans throught the wringer.

Great result last night, dominated the game without creating to much, 2 stonewall pens and both executed superb, dembele showed a bit of steel stepping up to take his, still need a bit of creativity in the middle of the park imo, and Toure was class when he came on, overall very happy. HH

Next round could be against Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia), Ludogorets Razgrad (Bulgaria), Copenhagen (Denmark), Hapoel Be'er Sheva (Israel) or Dundalk (Ireland)

To be honest, I'd only really fancy Celtic over Dundalk!
