A strong performance from the lads sees Celtic through on away goals, the manager should be congratulated for that gritty second-leg fightback.

After overcoming that minor hiccup, Celtic should now make smooth progress through the brackets, awaiting their competition in the final.

If we (hell knows how but if we do) go on a run, this could be the greatest comeback ever hehe

Absolutely shocking, those Legia Warsaw players must be absolutely gutted- they've comprehensively stuffed Celtic over two legs and still get knocked out.

Couldn't agree more. The player was on the pitch for the final 3 minutes of the 2-0 win. Really feel for the Warsaw players, seems extremely unfair.

Hopefully Celtic get an even bigger thrashing.

Bitter bitter Huns everywhere. Makes me feel all warm knowing how much they are beeling.
Yes it's tough on Warsaw, but rules are rules. Kinda like paying tax.
Frankly We need to up our game big time, I was at the game Wednesday, and not one of the players showed enough.

I know rules are rules etc, but as a Celtic fan this is a harsh penalty, we were embarrassed over 2 legs and the late substitution had no bearing on the result, if this had happened to us we would have been screaming blue murder. On the plus side if it winds up the newco well and good.

The ting is they were not kicked out of the competition!
If they had scored even 1of the 2 penalties they missed they would still have gone through.

That's some staggering logic there.

You were comprehensively and honestly beaten and you think a technicality means you should go through? He came on for 2 minutes, it's not like he scored all six Warsaw goals.

But it's Warsaw's fault for not beating them enough! Should have taken their chances.

I don't make or administer the rules but obviously you have some other agenda that is choking you with bitterness! wink

Lesniodorski told Sky Sports News: “I’m very disappointed, once again football and sport lost. We hope that Celtic will react and follow fair play rules. For us what happened on the field matters.”

If the situation was reversed do you think this guy would be saying the same?

I very much doubt it.

Well I support Arsenal and have no particular allegiance to any Scottish club apart from a soft spot for the Accies. I think the punishment doesn't fit the crime, the tie was over and Legia had won the contest. They did not gain any advantage whatsoever.

Seems to me because someone has expressed a view you don't agree with you've decided it's reasonable to assume they must be bitter. That's absolutely ludicrous. If I was a Celtic fan I'd be embarrassed by what's happened today.

don't you know? every other football club in the world is either a den of bitter unionist, fascist, Hun, protestant, sectarian iniquity, or a team with fans who remain 'BFFs' with the romantic rebels that make up the 'Best Fans in the World'(TM)

Correct!
