I think the uproar about Tevez was the fact that he had plenty of previous.
That said, Modric, if indeed pratting about, should be stomped on.

£ 17,000 a day is what Tottenham are fining Modric & rightly so , Incredible isn't it , these footballers are on a different planet to most of us

I Really hope Levy & Tottenham do not crumble to player power like what happened with Rooney & Tevez In my world of fantasy Levy would ban Modric from the 1st team and refuse to sell him, make him wait untill the contract he signed run out in 2016. How funny would that be. I know that in the real world it couldn't happen but I can dream.

You could be part of a team at an un-fancied club that won a title and progressed or you could just get yourself to the point where a successfull team wanted you and go there and rent a trophy. This is the entire reason that the big clubs remain and no others get a look in.

The poor guy was desperate to leave last year. Yet you forced him to stay. Now your chairman is standing in the way of his dream move to Madrid.
If I was in his boots and shin pads, I'd also be a little bit pissed off and stage some form of minor protest. Forced labour is never good for the dressing room anyway. Every cloud.

It's all in jest. But really. When a players wants to leave he has to go. Especially if made public. In my opinion. If any of the lads who work for me say that their heart is not in it and they want to do something different I want them out of the door as soon as possible to be honest and I imagine the same thing is applicable on the football pitch. You want players who can give it everything they have.

This is well & true , but you cannot let your most valuable asset go for half of his worth , Levy wants him out , just not at the price Madrid want to pay Every Spurs fan i know is behind Levy 100% , I would love to see him sulk for a while
