When it's no longer mathematically possible for anyone else to win it, I will check all the maths 3 times, check there are no pending FA investigations and then maybe allow myself to start believing. Until then its just a nice gap I hope we maintain.

yes

Just had a look at the remaining fixtures and there's a lot of football to be played yet.

We still have to play Chelsea and Citeh at Old Trafford and Arsenal away. City have us, Tottenham away and Chelsea at home. That's before mentioning any of the other tricky games like Everton next weekend, West Brom away on the last day... also knowing United never do it the easy way is a concern. Just let us do it easy for once please. hehe

Don't know, but that's what we are after now.

It'll make this look like even more of a joke:

So if the adage "you get what you pay for" is right then Spuds should be 6th and the Scousers 3rd.

Indeed, only 2 teams performing above expectations in the top 6 of that table v reality.

That's one way to look at it - another is that Spuds have only spent (net) £21M less than United over 8 years - (which is also only 2/3rds of what we gave you for Berbatov)

17 points behind in the league, out of the cup and never in Europe = massivily underperforming by our standards wouldn't you say? wink

never in Europe
In europe almost every year. Was a mid-table (10th) team for 30 years but are now a top 4 team. Thats a bigger leap up the table in places than you've acheived. Granted, you were already a Top 4 team so there's not much higher for you to go. wink

Of course the real transfer spend losers are...

Spuds are in the Spurs league, that's not "In Europe" smile

I see what you did there - top 4 team - we shall see in May - and even if you do make it (both Arsenal and Everton could easily finish in front of Spuds), the squad's not big enough/strong emough to cope with it year in , year out.

(For once) agreed on the transfer spend "losers" though loser

Digi trying to have a discussion with a pal who is a city fan about the number of seats.

He says sold out weeks ago,

What were you saying about the ticket situation and empty seats at City?

The club do say tickets are sold out, the issue is that for every game they try and give tickets away to all manner of business and schools etc but people either dont turn up or dont take the offer up. Its all part of the FFP rulings, sort of like wooden dollars. The promo and community teams "buy" the tickets off the club to distribute.

The only game I havent seen empty seats for is when they play us as thousands of our fans infiltrate their end.

I think yesterday I saw quite a lot of people cheering when Sturridge scored in the City end, I managed to keep quiet wink

The tickets are so cheap, £500 a season ticket some £250 I have been told.

Anywhere on the net show the offers for schools or businesses?

nope, but they do it every week, even when they do their £5 and £10 tickets they cant sell out the ground. United fans have always called them the Liars, as they have pretty succesfully convinced the country that Manchester is blue and that there are no United fans here, yet they are champions and still cant fill their ground.

Loads of excuses on Boo Moon forum which include Kids dont go to nights games, xmas is coming and fans dont watch games in the rain:-
