To be honest as much as I hate to say it as a United fan, but City deserved last nights win, and no doubt the title as well. They should have been clear by christmas, but United like United always do and came good at the end of the season and ended up throwing it all away so only ourselves to blame.

There is alot of bitterness about money, and yes I dont like the way City have gone about it and brought themselves the title either. If Hughes and Mancini have been given an open cheque book and told to get who they want then they not going to spend it?
What I dont like is the way it has over inflated the market in transfer fee's and wages. How many players have city got on over £100k a week?

On the flip side clubs must be rubbing their hands with glee when City show an interest:

Barry - 12million
Milner - 26million
Masri - 22million
Aguero - 38million
Dzeko - 27million
Lescott - 22million

Think of a number multiply by 3 add some zero's....

Yeah, this. As much as I'd normally say this so I don't lose in my head, there is no way City will piss this up the wall at Newcastle. The league was won last night. Period.
Are you doing a Mancini? scratchchin

"Iz feeneeshed".
Nah, just as CIE says, Mancini didn't believe what he was saying was true, just like the public didn't either.

I firmly believe that is it. It's done and dusted. Hey, if I'm proved wrong then so be it but I think there's more chance of IM and Keyser Soze French kissing in the centre circle at Wembley.

He's probably still in bed, but don't worry, I'm here to give you some Kompany.

It is a fair point, though - since Mansour arrived, City have spent £200m more than Fergie has spent in the entire history of the Premier League.
For real?
Absolutely. It's actually worse than that!

Since 1992, United's net spend is £177m

Since 2006, City's net spend is £418m.

If you go on gross, they've spent £531m since 2006, yet we've only spent £483m since the inception of the EPL.

If you roll back to the start of the EPL, City have spent £649m gross.

That's a bloody huge gap in spending, no matter how you look at it.

It's a surprise we're still in it, when up against that level of spending, but I'm still really hacked off that we've thrown it away.
I am no fan of cheque book football clubs but you need to look at wages too they are most definitely part of a managers budget and only in the last year or two has City's wage bill been anywhere near comprable.....the numbers probably look very different.

If you look at the amount of money SAF has spent in wages and transfer fees it's up their with anyone. It's different with United because the money is generated by the club but the success is down to a great manager with good financial backing.

City have been the better team in a remarkably poor league,I am amazed united pushed them so far as this is the worst united team of the last 20 years.

Let's just hope the glazers loosen the purse strings as a left back who can defend and a couple of central midfield players who can retain possession under pressure are critical.

So the hangover is still ripe and the pain is worse

To be honest I had a feeling as soon as I saw it was 4-5-1 that we were going to struggle

Park - lord knows where that came from, yes he has done well in big games for us in the past but he has also been playing semi regularly, that move was just madness

Nani - I think everyone on here knows I think Nani is a st Ronaldo/Michael Jackson I hope we shift him on in the summer, did you see Rooney screaming at him at one point? Showboating prick

The thing that REALLY annoys me is to me it looks like SAF bottled it, if we had been 6 points clear I reckon he would have gone 4-4-2 with Rooney and Danny up top and I think we would have got something, so why set up like that? Why change the system that has worked so well, I am all for showing teams respect but that was showing them too much respect IMO

Of course it isn't mathmatically over and we could spank Swansea 10-0 and its game on but I am not overly confident

well to be fair uniteed were rubbish and a soft goal - credit to kompany - cost us dear.

not to have a shot on target is extrmely worrying and exposed uniteds lack of creativity which has been prevalent all season.

the lague table will and does show how well you do against those closest to you and city will win the league based on how they did against us - pretty much.

The crux of a good team is there and with some creativity i think we can still challenge but Scholes was exposed last night - toure was excellent again sim to the OT game.

Playing Nani was a mistake as I knew it would be and by the time Young and Val came on it was too late.

and if true yes very sad news about fletch but lets see

Not over by a long way - six points to fight for yet still. Was surpised Fergie went with that negative formation, but he was trying to stifle the City midfield as older Neville pointed out in the long intro. Valencia would have started for me.

ANYTHING could happen Sunday ...

Me too, as a Leeds fan I don't want the Scum to win the title but have a funny feeling the Toon will do them a favour.

The Bright side..... If City win it.....

Chelsea Not Champions
Liverpool Not Champions
Arsenal Not Champions
Spurs (!) not Champions

They're the local noisy neighbors, they probabaly hate you more than you hate them (you're the older more successful big brother, they're the younger, noiser, slightly 'special needs' sibling), they've had years of jealousy.

Give them a bone and dont be bitter. If they end up with more points or even goal differnece, by definition, the better team (currently) won it.

Its good for Manchester.
