Can't help but think that this is going to be one of those long drawn out boring transfers that wont happen and Fergie will come out with some statement saying 'we thought we had him' just like every other failed transfer.
He really doesn't bother me in the slightest anyways. Warchest or not I reckon we're done in the market.
Ps. I know you don't care Mr Soze.

We shouldn't pay £25M for him - he's too old for that kind of money - especially when we could get him in a year's time for nothing.

Wishful thinking - I'd be happy for him to go for the 25M but clearly Digdoesn't know Arsenal from Elbow (boring dad-rock combo) - The Arsenal board give Le Boss carte blanche in all buying and selling decisions. Pissed off as I am at our board I'm afraid Arsene stands or falls by his decision and can't hide behind the Kronk-meister. MUFFC can agree whatever terms they like with RvP until they stump up he's staying put until 2013 at which point the highest wage wins(clue unlikely to be MUFFC)

(and I doubt highest wage will win with him either - at his age it will be best chance of a championship medal)

(and I doubt highest wage will win with him either - at his age it will be best chance of a championship medal) Nah, next year he's another injury-prone 30 y o dutch breadhead - we get nothing for him true, but we aren't wasting cash on someone who will actually struggle to fit in to a system that isn't all about him. He's already replaced and we've had the 2.75M he cost return already, but if you think in a wage dash you'll win you are entirely delusional, only the inability to offload Arabspaymore from Citeh is preventing him going there now. Suspect they may solve that conundrum by next year. This is getting too amusing for words, remember Cesc had to help fund his own move to Barca or we'd have sat on him. RvP won't be doing that or I'm Steve McLaren's love child!!

RvP won't be doing that or I'm Steve McLaren's love child!! We won't win a wage (or xfer fee) dash with anybody these days - but that's fine. There are many, many players who command huge fees & wages who, ultimately, turn out to be a bit crap. QED the likes of Adebayor, Kaka, Schevchenko, Andy Carrol , Downing etc etc. Fees and wages do not always relate to player quality it seems. If RVP comes to OT for a sensible fee then great, if not then it won't be the end of the world (or our season). Citeh being strapped up with Adebayour, & Sant Cruz on mega wages (not to mention having to pay Brighton to take Bridge on loan) is indeed hilarious. The Arabs are not spending freely this summer & Bertie Mankini is not a happy camper!

Kronke intervened last summer and told Wenger he had to sell Nasri....if you read some of the quotes from Wenger at the start of last summer he was pretty unequivocal that he wouldn't sell Nasri and Cesc. The Independent ran a a piece detailing that Kronke turned up at a board meeting mid-summer and told Wenger he had to sell Nasri rather than let him go for nothing a year later.
