It appears that Barton's advisors and QPR have compromised on the potential sacking for gross misconduct by amending his employment contract so that any serious breach of club rules will bring automatic dismissal - I wonder if Sparky can bait him to stub a cggie out on someone from the reserves!!!

I am flabbergasted that QPR put up with him - he continues to demonstrate his inability to control his actions on and off the pitch (tw3tter).

As a newcastle fan, he did some good things for us but I always hope he just turns it around.

I fear controversy is always around the next corner for Joseph Barton.

On another note, why have they even bothered with Kieron Dyer?

Report I read said he will not be in the 25 man squad & will train with the reserves till Hughes can get rid - if true it would seem unlikely he will play for QPR again.

I don't the club have much choice. Thanks to all the efforts by the PFA over the years, players rights mean that the club would probably have to pay Joey off to the tune of £10m (the wages from the last three years of a four year contract).

Looks like all they have been able to do legally is issue a warning with conditions - so if he transgresses this time they can do him.

So it puts some power back in the hands of the club. Better than nothing.

Joey Barton at Fleetwood. He's found his level at last.

So the 12 match ban is only for QPR, and he's allowed to play for another team during that time? What a st rule that is.

"The FA would consider any application to transfer the ban, but do have the power to reject it if they feel it as an abuse of the disciplinary process."

Fingers crossed.

No the 12 match ban is for him, but fleetwood will have 12 games scheduled in a shorter period of time than QPR - so shorter ban time-wise.

No they just plan to loan him out. As the games come around faster in the lower leagues. He still wouldn't be playing in any matches.

They also start earlier don't they? I think if they get away with it, they chip almost a month of the ban had he stayed at QPR.

FA need to stamp all over this ploy, for that is what it is. They'll look like mugs otherwise. Loaning him out to sit in the Fleetwood stands?

Puh-lease rolleyes

Its a bit ike the law. If it can be exploited people will and it is hard if not impossible to rewrite the rulebook retrospecitlvey to plug a gap

of course as the FA is not the law they could just have a rule that says we can do whatever we want

perhaps they can say the game is being brought into disrepute as quite clearly it is.
