Hereford United fan here, just returned to non league, looking forward to it now it's happened, mrs is a Wrexham fan so makes the upcoming season a bit more interesting.
>swivels round in chair<

Come in...we have been expecting you.
Not to long ago it was us and you in a promotion battle.....where did it all go wrong!
2009 amd we were sitting pretty in League One. Then we went broke and it has been a bumpy ride down to where we are. Spent most of the first half of this season at the bottom but pulled it together to get mid table-ish. I think we will be here for some time and I don't mind. I think it is where we belong whilst we scrape together some money.

I keep one eye on Kingstonian FC when they appear on http://www.futbol24.com/Live/.

I also look out for the results of any game involving Forfar Athletic FC and East Fife FC... silly

A wee bump. Kingstonian's just announced their pre season fixtures. Chelsea, Spurs and Fulham XI's on the list.

Can't wait!

Guernsey, in their very first season, only lost one game in the Combined Counties League. Everything else was just won. League, Fair Play, Inter-Island, you name it. Not a bad start.

A Leeds fan properly but if i cant get to their games always enjoy the frustrations of watching Halifax town (my home town team.) have gone for years and watched the highs of demi old devision 3 football and conference play off finals, all the way down to going out of business and being plunged into the thrills of unibond devision one north. cracking atmosphere and new stand it is a good game to come to if you have a chance. apparently been cursed with favorites to win the evostick premier this year again so a season of languishing in midtable i suppose.

Stag fan here (AFC Totton). Was my home town. Still go to a few games each season with the old man who goes each week.

I played against AFC Totton on Saturday in a preseason friendly...lost 8-1, to be fair they are four promotions above us! Look a strong side this year and hopefully they will do well under new management.

Noob question but does this mean they'll be playing against Chelsea, Spurs and Fulham's actual top players or something else?

It's usually against players on the fringes, reserves or players coming back from injuries. We lost the first against Spurs on monday, good competitive match.

Looking forward to the Chelsea game.

Droylsden here.

And Stockport County.

If one gets promoted or the other gets relegated, I have problems.

Never thought I'd see the day that would happen.

Grimsby Town fan. Seen them slide down from the championship to the blue square premier. We've made some fairly decent signings and things are looking better but we're still not good enough.

We won't make automatic promotion and we'll miss out on the playoffs again.

I still remember when Stockport and Grimsby were high flyers.

Me too. We played Stockport in a brilliant game on a wet Tuesday night in cleethorpes. Carlton Palmer was player manager of Stockport at the time. We had a Charlton player -Martin Pringle on loan who was great. Loaned to us as he was coming back from a broken leg. He was premier league class & a cut above. Dave Challinor broke his leg in a horror tackle but didn't even get booked. Palmer was so angry by his own players foul that he dragged him off the pitch himself and substituted him. Palmer got sent off himself that game. ... Those were the days, packed houses, great atmosphere ... All gone now and I can't see it coming back.

I long for the days of Danny Bergara, Kevin Francis, Andy Preece and Jim Gannon.

Awesome team back then - went to Wembley twice in a week at one point! (Autoglass and playoffs).

Hard to believe they were only a handful of points away from Premiership football now.

The day England beat Germany 5-1 in Munich Grimsby beat Barnsley at home to go top of the championship. The best footballing day of my life, I can't believe how far we've slipped.

Redditch United fan here. Not much to add since our demise from the BSN. Very close to folding until former Motorworld owner Chris Swan took us over.

Stayed up last year thanks partly to ex-Villa player Lee Hendrie and his on-loan brother.
