It's annoying how these journalists can be in a paying job just plucking names from thin air. I've just skimmed that article but nowhere in the article is a quote from a Liverpool spokesmen saying Van Gaal is in line or even considered for a job with anything to do with our club and yet they title the article, Van Gaal in line for a job at Liverpool FC.
Bell ends.
Couldn't agree more. I wouldn't mind that job, it's as easy as piss.

I'd have him back. Lively but unfortunate debut, followed by injury and trying a bit hard. Undoubtedly a creative talent.
After last season, I'd LOVE to have both Cole and Aquilani back. It will feel like free, new players!
Not sure about cole - he had quite a few ineffective games for us. He also seemed fat/unfit and he moaned a lot because he was not being played in the center.

FFS you're being paid a stload to play football - get on with it.

Didn't realise this, and don't think it had been mentioned in the last few pages, but apparently we have a new Head of Communications; Jen Chang, who was previously senior editor for Sports Illustrated. So I'm very much looking forward to our future press releases! biggrin

Have all the English players got compromising pics of Roy Hodgson or something? Even if Kelly isn't going to the Euro's its a bit of strange one!

Snap him up - Heskey and Carroll up front - that's a god 1 or 2 goals right there!

It seems like he's thinking a bit more long term and therefore picking some younger players e.g. kelly and carroll..

It'll be a breath of fresh air if Hodgson makes his selections without reference to the media. You get the impression too many managers in the past have picked their team according to football back pages rather than trying to create a cohesive team.

I read somewhere this morning that Liverpool are in advanced talks with potential naming-rights sponsors for the 'New Anfield'.

Thats a smart move as I can forsee Chelsea giving their new stadium plans a higher priority now that they've won the ECL and in the current economic climate there are only a limited number of potential sponsors with the sort of cash you'd expect for this kind of deal.

If it's a new ground it is pretty much given it'll have a naming rights deal attached. Who wants to spend £300m+ on an extra 15,000 seats? If we stay and re-develop anfield I don't see a need for it - other than cash for the owners. So it'll probably happen anyway smash

It would be nice...but worry not, we've got the Lampard and Gerrard playing together circus to begin any day now

That equality and diversity training course didn't have much effect then...laugh

He is a quality RB and can cover CB very easy - not many other English players can do that - wise choice for me.

No doubt Roy is looking back at what happened to him here and how Dalglish got sacked and is thinking 'he who laughs last..' Well until England fail to qualify for the World Cup.

I just hope he wasn't one of the ones getting on his high horse about Roy being called Woy on here once or twice! I don't have the time to go back and check though, I'm sure HR or IM will be on it.

I'm sure that Heretic, or whatever he's called this week, will be along to admonish 10P shortly......

'Whatever he is called this week'? Really. If you cast your mind back, that whole episode was because people were getting their knickers in a twist and crying like toddlers when Dalglish was being called Dogleash, but don't let that get in the way of your little moan. No doubt that point passed you by. If you cannot understand that complaining about your manager being given a nickname, then the folks complaining about it can hardly give nicknames to other managers, can they?

Bit harsh?

I just see his post as laughing at 10ps's desperate post.

(Cast your mind back further and it had nothing to do Kenny - It was just about woy being st)
