I'm desperately hoping Exeter manage to beat the L2 drop then I can see them play at Luton 10 mins down the road, Stevenage 25 mins and Northampton 45 mins away next season.

Could very much have done with beating the L2 whipping boys Torquay yesterday though. frown

I hope the six fingered inbreds go down!! And what's more, I can see them going down. Not going to get anything at Scunny on Saturday and everyone else picking up points around them......[rubs hands in glee]

Was truly amazing at Plymouth yesterday when the Gulls scored their second, the whole of the Devonport End singing "Yellow Army" when the news filtered through.

I don't think Plymouth can be mathematically relegated now can they? wink

You had a great second half of the season, thought Rotherham were going to catch you at one point.

Orient must be gutted, they were walking away with it around November time..... The play offs will be good; especially as I can watch them as a neutral.

Carlisle have a game in hand but need to score 20+ goals in 2 matches to send Colchester down.

Yeah, you were lucky. You still have a hateful club and hateful fans.

You'll go down next season.

Bless. And to think it'll probably be the six points we got off your lot that'll be the difference between us staying up or not.

And so, we're off (sort of). The World Cup is a fading memory and we have our first pre-season friendly tonight for the first team. A look at the six new signings we've made this closed season at Tavistock AFC.

It's starting to feel like football season again.

A welcome back to this thread 'officially' for our Yeovil Town fans, seems like only yesterday you were promoted.

Thanks TS, I've just popped back to check in for the season. Had hoped I'd be absent from the thread for a little longer but such is life.

We've lost our entire back five this summer; three of them went to Sparta Prague, Millwall and Bristol City while another is a free agent and a fifth went back to his parent club Everton. Signings have been steady and unspectacular with James Berrett (ex Huddersfield/Carlisle), A J Leitch-Smith (Crewe), Aaron Martin (Southampton) and Jakub Sokolik (released by Liverpool) all arriving.

In addition, Gary Johnson has brought back returning stars Chris Weale (Shrewsbury) and Nathan Smith (Chesterfield) to their former homes plus keeper Artur Krysiak from Exeter City. First two pre-season games have been okay, beating Frome Town 6-1 and drawing 1-1 with Basingstoke. After tonight's friendly at Torquay, we face three home games in eight days against Reading, Bristol Rovers and Cardiff City.

Onwards and upwards, I'm hoping realistically for a higher mid table finish with a flirtation with the playoffs if possible. thumbup

Kalamity Krysiak is a terrible signing in my humble opinion. Hates being pressurised into making a save and when he kicks out from goal it could literally go anywhere!

There must have been better keepers than a relegation haunted L2 club's?

You would think so. In the past, we've tended to go for a loan keeper with a back up and those loanees have been top quality (Wayne Hennessey now at Crystal Palace, Alex McCarthy at Reading, Stephen Henderson at West Ham, Asmir Begovic from Portsmouth). But this seems to be a departure from a successful policy.

Even the Exeter fans said he was a contributory factor in their relegation from L1. I'm sure Mr Moxey will be along in a while to agree or not.
