The League 1 and 2 Thread

I'd disagree, on the whole he was pretty good and saved our bacon a few times and had also improved a great deal over the past few seasons. We nearly got relegated because of a defence that leaked worse than the Titanic and a group of strikers who apparently had no idea what a goal was.
I think he'd be an asset for most clubs in L2 and possibly into L1 too.

I had a few seasons of watching Bittner and a few of watching Krysiak and would say Krysiak is a far better keeper.
Krysiak's biggest weakness for a long time was his kicking (wouldn't have looked out of place on a rugby pitch) but he seems to have worked hard on that and was vastly better last season.
Will be interesting to see what Moxey's thoughts are on him too. He watched many more matches than me in the past few seasons.

I think your views (both of you) probably accurately reflect what we have heard from Grecians since he signed for us. Some are positive, some are negative.
I guess the true test will be who is in goal on August 9th. Krysiak and Weale are fighting for one jersey in the team whereas for the last seven or eight years, we have had a clear number 1 and number 2. Weale has played with Johnson before obviously so I think he's slightly more likely to be in pole position (no pun intended).

Argyle continue in their usual hot/cold form.
Great bit of terrace banter last Saturday. During our loss last Tuesday to Wycombe we were screaming for our sub Nathan Thomas to come on (left winger, attack minded) but the Gaffer (John Sheridan) decides (or to spite us) to put on a defensive midfield player.
Anyway, fast forward to Saturday and due to an injury, Nathan Thomas starts the second half and is on fire. He scores and the ground reverberates to 'Are you watching Sheridan?'
Love terrace banter. Some of it is pure wit.

Tranmere fan checking back in, we are currently one of the sttest teams in the football league. We have a manager that doesn't know anything about tactics and a new owner who loves the club, but seemingly has no money.
We have been on a downwards spiral since January 2013, and it is really starting to grate!!!!
Life sucks on the Wirral.

Bury fan checking back in! We've got your lot on Saturday, imagine Lowe will be well up for this one.We have been on a downwards spiral since January 2013, and it is really starting to grate!!!!

First check in in a while from the Stevenage fan.
We're finally starting to see some entertainment again, although away from home we are diabolical. Westley, no matter who we're playing, has a new obsession with setting out for the draw. It's so depressing because give the squad he's assembled a bit of freedom and we play some good stuff. But away from home, our attacking 451 we play at home turns into the most negative 451 you'll ever see.
We had Oxford away last week, Oxford were absolutely fking ste. Yet we let them walk all over us and somehow escaped with a 0-0 thanks to Oxford seemingly not being able to hit a barn door. Westley came out saying how happy he was and we were never troubled - very worrying if he that really is a successful away day against one of the worst teams in the league
Can't complain too much though as before this season started, we had averaged 0.8 points per game over the last 18 months - the worst in the football league. And despite not really playing close to our full ability - we strummed Mansfield 3-0 and still looked pretty ordinary - we're still up near the playoffs and come the end of the season I fully expect us to be in the hunt for the automatic spots despite what anyone who has played us at their ground will say.

Accrington Stanley fan checking in.
new manager and seemingly a new style of play - james gray is on fire - I honestly will be surprised if we can keep him till the end of the season.
a new GK and a few new winger and we all know what kinda style coleman likes to play. but 4-5 against northampton - its the ethos we'll just score one more than u!
tough game at mansfield - we've not been too good away from the crown so lets see what tomorrow brings. hopefully with the new confidence they've got in the squad we can get back with a draw if not a win...

Good win for the Shrews tonight. James Collins man of the match for me, worked so hard right to the end. Surprised how poor Bury were given their league position. Bloody cold night watching footy though, here comes the joys of winter
Yep you gave us a rare old stuffing. Should bring us back to earth. We were getting a bit carried away. Well played to Shrewsbury.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
