I am a terrible Colchester supporter, half the time don't even know they are playing but I do believe

they have now won 4 league games in a row after their usual "slow" start to the season.

Pompey supporter signing in. Hopefully last night was just a blip, we've rode our luck a few times this season and last night it went against us. Exeter came with a plan and it worked, although if we'd put away one of the countless chances we had in the first 20 mins then things might have been different.
It's going to be a tough league this year and can see the top of it changing a number of times.

At the moment he's struggling to fit into the system that Cook has implemented, wouldn't be surprised if he's loaned out at some point this season.
Teams have worked us out at home, if you stick 11 behind the ball then you'll kill the crowd and the football but come away with a point tongue out

That's exactly what we did on Saturday by all accounts. Lots of stick on Twitter from Pompey fans which is fair enough but in our perilous position and with a whole team out injured, we just have to keep picking up a point here and there. Sad to admit but the end justifies the means.

Can't disagree with that. Plenty of chat on forums about how we combat that as the general feeling is that teams will come to FP and do exactly that from now on. i think most teams will be happy to take a point away from us.
Good luck for rest of season smile

We are on a roll it appears. 2 league and a JPT win on the trot.

That is our first back to back league wins in 749 days and our first cup (any cup) win since 07/02/2012. Apparently we have been drawn away 9 out of the last 10 cup games we have played.

Thanks a lot, and you too. clap

Thing is, a shot of confidence from a point against you and last night, we toppled Coventry City in the JPT on penalties. That's two unbeaten, two clean sheets and this has to help on Saturday when we take on Dagenham & Redbridge.

(cue losing at home again)

Daggers have been the only team we have truly outplayed at home this season (first day of season 3-0), you should be ok smile

Yesterday was a pleasant surprise on the box. Defence looked a mess but it was good to see us score 3. Perhaps there is hope for Teddy yet.

Another shocker last night, I'm afraid to say. frown

Mansfield at home. They're 4th, we are 22nd. Both teams poor, low crowd, rubbish atmosphere but we were holding them at 0-0.

Our keeper gets a whack from his own defender, is prostrate on the floor. Blood injury from a cut on the side of his head... ref adds on nine minutes stoppage time and Mansfield score on 99:42.....

No luck, no confidence and for the third time this season, no shots on target the whole match. I never wanted to be on this thread at the beginning of last season when I had to rejoin it. Now it looks like there will be no need for me to post on here at all come May.

Bloody hell. frown

That is worrying what's happened to you lot. Seeing Yeovil reach the Championship had me hoping it's what Stevenage could achieve one day. Facing 3 back to back relegations as a result of it is horrific.

Good deserved point for us at Pompey on Tuesday. Teddy is beginning to win a few of the Westley fan boys over. I'd like a nice mid table season, something we've only experience once in the last 8 years and even then an end of season nose dive in form would have had us in serious trouble if it hit a couple of matches earlier.

Then next season, Teddy leads his assault on League 2 playing some of the best football League 2 has seen.

Can't disagree with that Boydie. I'm a Pompey fan (41 years now and counting, bloody hell) and it was refreshing to see a team come to Fratton and not "park the bus". That said, you missed three really good chances before the late, late equaliser. Bit gutting for us, but can't complain really.
Paul Cook has set us up for shape, and possession. It works away from home (5 wins from 7)but we've only won twice at home. If we could only have a different shape at home (read: Adam Barton not just passing sideways) then we'd get promotion easily.
So here's a prediction for the top three this season: Plymouth, Pompey, and Luton. Play offs: Oxford, Orient, Accrington and Northampton (if they survive financial problems). Bottom two: Daggers and Newport.
Mike.

Well,Colchester went for " comeback of the day" award and ultimately failed.
Went 2-0 down,no surprises there.
Came back after half time to 2-2
Down 3-2 and then 2 more goals to lead 4-3.

Walsall score on 90+1 to scrape a draw.....rolleyes

Jason Mohammed described our defence as the worst in the league.

Have another...rolleyes

We got 2 wins on the trot now. Can't recall last time we had that (certainly must have been back when we had Tubbs last season).

Next game now is Hartlepool at home. They're 19th in the league at the moment, which means we'll probably lose to them!

As least this double-win will shut up all the 'Ardley out' crowd. Pretty dull and boring to be honest.

In that order? Plymouth top?

I reckon so, but I am biased.

I reckon we should sign off with our team, it's a bit difficult keeping tabs on who supports who and what league (or non league in your case Glover rofl) everyone is in.
