In that order? Plymouth top?

I reckon so, but I am biased.

I reckon we should sign off with our team, it's a bit difficult keeping tabs on who supports who and what league (or non league in your case Glover rofl) everyone is in.

Ouch. laugh

Kinky, would it be an abuse of my moderator's powers to ban him? Must be a rule in the list that stops posters from inciting hatred of another team. biggrin

Not seen a better team than us this season, and we've already played Portsmouth and Argyle and were the better team in both games. I would say top 4 will be us, Portsmouth, Argyle and Luton.

6 games unbeaten it is now for Blackpool. We might actually stay up!

Yet another away draw in a cup competition, that's now 10 out of the last 11. Really wanted a home one (not that I would go) just to see what the attendance would be. We currently give our attendances as tickets sold, so all the season ticket holders who bought 2 year tickets and no longer go (there are a lot of them) are counted even if not there. So they are still giving crowds of 6/7000 even though there is only a fraction of that actually there.

Can't even get my FA Cup fix at AFC Fylde (who had a very good 1-0 win and performance against Barrow in the previous round) as their reward is an away trip to Millwall.

Patrick, agree we were dire at the Kassam and lucky to get a point. We are better than that normally. Also agree with your top 4. I think we might make a couple of signings in January to boost our chances......Kemar Roofe maybe????? Best of luck anyway.
Mike (Pompey).

Have to say Patrick, we were poor when we played you, but that makes no excuse that you took the points. Sercombe is a good player, much as it pains me to say it.

However, I would just say that at this point last season, Burton who ended up champions, had less points than us.

But League 2 is such an awful league, anyone can beat anyone. There are so many teams that are down here that should never be here. Not that I'm wheeling out the 'we're too big for this league' rubbish. Every team is here on merit (or lack of it). Pompey and Argyle are here because we both spent money we didn't have and are lucky to be here at all.

All the best everyone for Saturday, except any Morecambe fans..obviously!

Well you did us (York) a favour this weekend gone; our Manager is gone and we're all happier for it. 12 months of turgid football is hopefully now at and end.

Before that game, many were calling for our own managers head (Neil Ardley). That win took the heat off. For reference, I was not one of them smile

Wrote an article in our programme suggesting five players to follow this season and he's proved me right in selecting him as one of the five. Didn't score against us but ran the show.

Good deserved point for us at Pompey on Tuesday.
Can't disagree with that Boydie. I'm a Pompey fan (41 years now and counting, bloody hell) and it was refreshing to see a team come to Fratton and not "park the bus". That said, you missed three really good chances before the late, late equaliser. Bit gutting for us, but can't complain really.
Paul Cook has set us up for shape, and possession. It works away from home (5 wins from 7)but we've only won twice at home. If we could only have a different shape at home (read: Adam Barton not just passing sideways) then we'd get promotion easily.
So here's a prediction for the top three this season: Plymouth, Pompey, and Luton. Play offs: Oxford, Orient, Accrington and Northampton (if they survive financial problems). Bottom two: Daggers and Newport.
Mike.
Cheers mate. Was meant to head down but a Pompey supporting mate was working and a friend couldn't justify the £50 needed for the day. Gutted as that was now the last glimmer of hope we are a good team. Two woeful performances since at Northampton then the 5-1 at home to Oxford. I still remain confident there are some excellent footballers in there, sadly none of them possess any defensive ability and Sheringham has taken a liking to pairing two of the slowest defenders I've ever seen - we have one clean sheet so far frown

At least 1 of them is now banned after the red vs Oxford. It's sad a ban actually (slightly) increases confidence in pulling off what would be a massive shock in knocking the Gills out on Saturday. A few years ago we were knocking out Championship teams for fun and feared no one.

Luton won't be up there, which makes me happy. I suspect it will be Plymouth Pompey and Oxford in the autos.

I see Shez is starting to work his boring football magic at Newport. Can't fault the guy for what he did at Argyle, but we never had a plan B. If his game plan was sussed by half time, we were done for. Also, we NEVER won from behind with him as the manager.

Meanwhile, good luck everyone in the FA Cup this weekend, apart from any Carlisle fans, obviously. Long trip home on a Tuesday night earlier in the season, let's hope we can do the same this weekend.

Bit early for predictions, but I'll go:

1.Argyle
2.Oxford
3.Pompey

4.Mansfield
5.Orient
6.Wycombe
7.Accrington

23. Daggers
24. York/Yeovil

Hope I'm wrong re: Yeovil.

I'm sure he'll be wrong about York, now we've appointed someone who is an actuall manager. The players Wilcox signed are a massive improvement on those Worthington signed, only he had them playing worse, with zero plans or tactics. The one game Cresswell Managed was an improvement, only for the ref to give Crawley a pen when its was their player who fouled ours.

Hopefully Jackie McNamara will bring a few gems down from across the border and mid-table obsucrity is ours.

I hope you're wrong about Yeovil as well.

And you're definitely wrong about that top 7. Where's Bristol Rovers?
