Haha yeah I've been waiting for you to have first word.
Wonderful drive down - despite the sat nav sending us down a single track road a mile from the ground only to be met by a pad locked gate.
Awesome hospitality in your marquee - hog roast rolls were a delight.
Then as the case with so many away days, let down by the football.
Thought we started well but the striker Gnanduilet was having a bit of a stinker so any good attack broke down as soon as it reached him. Your subs changed the game in your favour and for 15 mins or so we were screaming for changes to get back in the game before your inevitable well taken goal and only then did he make the changes! You guys then bossed out the final 5 and injury very effectively.
Sheringham came out saying he never felt we were in danger which has riled a few feathers our end as it was so clear we were. Out of all cup competitions with just one win (even went out of the Herts senior cup last night fielding an embarrassingly strong squad of fringe players to Ceshunt!).
Gutted for you an Carlisle. Both of you are clubs I've a little soft spot for that deserved something better in the draw given the st you guys have endured and the abuse Carlisle have taken from the storm.
Glad to hear you enjoyed some parts of your trip anyway. And it's not a tent, it's a hospitality marquee..... (according to the catering manager). Wonderful drive down - despite the sat nav sending us down a single track road a mile from the ground only to be met by a pad locked gate.

I think we took more from the meeting three weeks earlier than you did albeit we had a different manager so might have been down to that. Whelpdale wasn't as influential and as you say, the big guy struggled all game. But neither us or Carlisle will be happy with the draw and Carlisle might even have to move the game thus losing any home advantage they might have.
Not sure Darren Way did his chances of getting the job much good last night. Decent first half was spoilt by an awful second half showing against league leaders Oxford in the JPT. Lost 3-2 but that flattered us and should have been 4-1.
Onwards and upwards, invaded by Bees this weekend.
I'm watching Merton Council live, discussing and hopefully to approve planning permission to get the Real Dons back home.
But talk about dragging it out ...... http://www.merton.public-i.tv/core/portal/webcast_...

The Council have just unanimously approved for us to go back home to Plough Lane
Great news, there's no place like home. Being ignorant, how close will the new ground be to the old one or is it on the same site?

Yes, agreed. It is time that (outside of the Premier League anyway) clubs are returned to the fans, both in ownership and in location. At Portsmouth we fans endured a lot of recent misery but at least now the club is debt free and a majority of shares are owned by the supporters. It does mean we'll never be "great" again but I'll take that in exchange for feeling like it's a proper club again. Hopefully Wimbledon will capture that feeling at a redeveloped Plough Lane.
Meanwhile, spare a thought for Bolton.........Pompey fans know exactly what that feels like.

At the risk of having a conversation with myself, great result for Pompey today. We are really starting to take shape now; even Danny Hollands is playing well! If we can just keep Lavery and McNulty (both are on loan) up front then I think we'll finish in the top three.
Come on Plymouth / Oxford / Cobblers fans, what say you?
Mike.

We've been on a real downer over the past week or so.
After the euphoria of going back to Plough Lane, we lost to Stevenage, where we gave an utterly dismal performance. Then the fiasco with Wilson, the idiotic keeper on loan from Cardiff. Glad to see the back of that idiot.
Then go 2 down to Newport, and just scrape a draw today
We've got Bristol Rovers at home on Boxing day. Not looking forward to that one

Have to say, Pompey did us a massive favour. Looking forward to Glovers at Home Park on Boxing Day. Watch us get tonked 3-0 now!Come on Plymouth / Oxford / Cobblers fans, what say you?

A 2-0 away win today at Exeter, which moves us up to 12th.
We had one of our best players, Robinson, available, after his red card from Boxing day was rescinded. That ref was simply appalling, dishing out a red card after 4 minutes, for a 100% perfectly fair and honest tackle. We were lucky to get a 0-0 draw.
