Another good win for the mighty Glovers yesterday. Hiring Darren Way as manager seems to be the smartest thing the chairman has done for a few years.... hehe

That was a nassive six pointer yesterday though as a Daggers win would have reeled us right back into the mix. As it is, we are far from safe even now of course but things are looking brighter just lately. If the League One table had started on January 1st, we would be eighth in the league but for now, I'll just be satisfied clocking up the points as we are and getting safe before the difficult last five games of the season.

Colchester won a league game tonight for the first time in months.
And against one of our previous managers,Phil Parkinson.

The recovery has started.

And again tonight, this time disposing of Accrinbgton Stanley, on the edge of automatic promotion but sent home pointless tonight.

Even more stunning, a virus has gone through the team this week and our best player this season wasn't 100% as well as three more players who played under the weather. Need to keep this run going but I believe that's 18 points from the last 10 games, that's promotion form.

Thank your lads for that; we (Plymouth) are hanging on to the auto slots at the moment. Once again I just have that feeling we are close to getting nothing out of a game we should be wining, and that feeling was dead on with the Barnet result. I wouldn't fancy our chances in a result-focused playoff.

The end of the season can't come quickly enough for me.

Yes, I had a few messages from my Bristol Rovers mates thanking me too. Not often they cheer on Yeovil but I'll take that.

Yesterday, we did it again. A 1-0 win at Mansfield with a 90+1 goal makes some amends for the 90+9 goal they won the reverse game at our place before Christmas. That's three 1-0 wins in a week and from being six points from safety, we are now nine points from the bottom two!

Darren Way's green and white army! hehe

Another win last night against a good Wimbledon team. (sorry Kinky)

We seem to be hitting form just at the right time and I still think automatic promotion is possible.

Mansfield at home on Saturday is another big game.

Apart from Northampton away our run in isn't too bad although I think the Yeovil game at home will be a battle.

Well we [Pompey] also seem to have hit a bit of form and after I'd given up any hope of an automatic spot we are now in with a sniff of a chance. Big game on Saturday where we need to dispose of Newport at home, they're a bit of a bogey team for us. We still have Plymouth to come to ours which could and probably will be a massive game. Plymouth are at Accrington and you'd expect Accrington to have some sort of reaction to last nights result.
Oxford looked like world beaters when they came to us earlier in the season and I'm surprised they are still in a catchable position.
It's certainly looking like a very tight and tense end to the season now.

Pompey are right in it now; we (Plymouth) need to sort our form out in the Accrington game. If we get a win in that one, Accrington's 'games in hand advantage' will be pretty much wiped out. It's a very exciting, but sick-making season this time around. So many games left to play, so many points to scrabble for!

Selym, injuries are becoming a problem for us too. Why Nards only got on the pitch with two minutes to go, I don't understand.

I know it's easy to blame injuries, which is what the Exeter fans on here will throw up as a lame excuse, but we are getting thin on the ground.

Mart, really pleased for Yeovil, thought you were nailed on for the drop, but it is increasingly looking like Daggers are down with Hartlepool or York joining them.

Must with game for the Pilgrims this Saturday, difficult place to go and get a result, Accrington.

Cheers TS, he's turned the club around. We'd be third in the latest twelve game form table and makes you wonder where we would be had he been appointed earlier.

I don't mind which two go down (obviously not us of course) but after going to Hartlepool recently and being cheated out of at least a point and getting dogs abuse from some of their more neanderthal fans, I can't say I'd miss them.

We seem to have spawned a few results lately, hopefully this weekend we can go and lay down a promotion-deserving performance and eradicate Accrington's automatic promotion hopes in a one-er.

I must admit I am glad Yeovil are starting to pull themselves out of the clag. It'd be a shame to see them fall back over the precipice when they have done so much to advance themselves over the last few years.

Injuries is a far better excuse than the wrong type of algae on the pitch though. hehe

No worries. Kind of expected. Our last 4 games have been against the top 4, resulting in 2 draws and 2 losses.

We're still in a play-off position at the moment, so not complaining ..... but praying over the next 11 games eek

Another 1-0 win today, this time against Notts County who are in freefall just lately.

So to recap, that's four 1-0 wins in a row after a 0-0 draw so 456 minutes since conceding a goal. DW has now taken us to second place in the form table over the past ten games, an incredible turnaround. From seemingly doomed at six points from safety, we are now eleven points off the bottom two.

Wish we could bottle this feeling now. cloud9

A Paul Cook side minus Gary Roberts (I know he started yesterday) is not a great side. Does he have a plan B yet?

Not convinced he has a Plan A at the moment.

Ill always thank PC for producing one of if not the best Chesterfield team I have seen in 25 years. There's no doubt we played some brilliant stuff at times and a Championship, a trip to Wembley and getting into the play offs last season are great memories. But he never really had a plan B. He also had a tendency to completely lose the plot for a month or so.

He left under a massive cloud and some of the stories about his antics while he was here are alarming. I can't decide if I want him to do well or not to be honest.
