The League 1 and 2 Thread
Discussion
Operation Conference still proceeding as planned up here in Blackpool. Looking like league 2 next season. Of to check which teams have gone from the Prem (or top league) to non-league.
Not scored a goal in something like five games, and not won a game after going behind for a ridiculous amount of time.

From the Premier League, pretty sure no one as yet has dropped all the way through although we tried our hardest
Going further back into time, certainly Luton were up there mixing it in the old Div 1 in the 80's. Not sure if Bristol Rovers have been in the top division, can't be bothered to look it up

Bristol Rovers have never played in the top division and up until 2001 we had never played in the bottom one either.Going further back into time, certainly Luton were up there mixing it in the old Div 1 in the 80's. Bristol C*ty however did drop from the old first division (now premier league) right to the bottom of division 4 in consecutive seasons.

Fancy your chances against my lot on Good Friday, we've gone from a record breaking run of away games without defeat, to a terrible run.Not scored a goal in something like five games, and not won a game after going behind for a ridiculous amount of time.

Prices for Bury fans in the away end seem steep and have some of our lot debating going. £25 adults £12 for over 9's. I was intending going but if my 3 kids want to as well, it's a dear do!
You'll win, we are awful by all accounts (I've not been to a game for about 16mnths now).
Just score at least one goal and you should be good for at least a draw, but most likely the win. Just some more stats to show how c**p we are.
Goals scored
2013/14 38
2014/15 36
2015/16 33
Games failed to score in
2013/14 16
2014/15 19
2013/16 17
In the last 129 games we've scored 107 goals and failed to score in 52. W 24 - D 35 - L 70
Its 475 minutes since we last scored.
£25 - they need to make as much money as possible, not many paying customers in the home ends now. Coming to the end of discounted 2 year season tickets they offered, so they are still giving the crowds as 7000+. Actual figure will be much lower due to people not going even though they have a ST. Next years crowds will be tiny.
If you know anyone that is coming over for the game please ask them not to buy anything in the ground, programs, pies, coffee etc. And of course a few shouts of 'Oystons Out' would be appreciated.
NAPM
I've just remembered that it was some of your lot that had a flag with 'Oyston In - F**k your club' when we played at your place.

Didn't know this thread existed. As a Wigan fan I am in dreamland right now, 18 games without a loss and it looks like Burton are going down tonight to Millwall which would put Latics just one point behind. I never thought I'd have a warm feeling towards Millwall but thanks lads, keep it up! And well done to Gary Caldwell, after a couple of extremely poor managers it seems we have finally got someone who knows what he's doing, plus the club has bought well this season.
Our game against Pompey was postponed, due to a waterlogged pitch. Was really up for todays game. But the postponement is a real bugger, as it was due to be shown live on Sky (was meant to be a 12:45 KO). So we've lost the TV money I guess
And the rescheduled fixture is sure to be a tuesday night, which means we won't be able to make it
And with all the other results, we've dropped 1 spot to 10th and now 5 points off a play-off spot.

Good news and bad news .....And the rescheduled fixture is sure to be a tuesday night, which means we won't be able to make it
Rescheduled fixture will be live on Sky Sports 1
But the date is Tuesday 26th April
Never mind Sky Sports going doolally over El Clasico, today in El Pastyo Ollie Watkins scored the L2 goal of the season deep in to injury time to ensure the Grecians did a famous Devon Derby Double for the second time in three seasons.
At the turn of the year neither of us looked anywhere near the play-offs, yet now? There's a lot to be said for eight unbeaten and the Big Mo. Happy days.

Did us (Bristol Rovers) a massive favour as well.At the turn of the year neither of us looked anywhere near the play-offs, yet now? There's a lot to be said for eight unbeaten and the Big Mo. Happy days.
We're back up into a automatic spot for this week. Northampton away next Saturday is a tough game though.
Six to go, you never know.
Seven clean sheets from the last eight for us and two wins in the next week v Stevenage and Exeter City will seal our League Two status.
Darren Way has instilled confidence in a team that was utterly doomed and although we have had the odd blip here and there, we are moving in the right direction. Tough games lie ahead against the Grecians, Bristol Rovers and Northampton to name but three but I feel like we are safe now, whatever the maths say.

And I see that Darrens been nominated for Manager of the Month Is that the death knell?
Three wins, a draw and a loss up against six wins from seven by Darrell Clarke (Rovers). Should be a shoe-in.
Hopefully. We play them on Saturday week.

Two teams mores focussed on not losing rather than winning resulted in the dullest of 0-0s last night. Another clean sheet to add to that impressive that though.Three wins, a draw and a loss up against six wins from seven by Darrell Clarke (Rovers). Should be a shoe-in.
