He won't get it, mate, so nothing to worry about. hehe

Three wins, a draw and a loss up against six wins from seven by Darrell Clarke (Rovers). Should be a shoe-in.

Hopefully. We play them on Saturday week.
Two teams mores focussed on not losing rather than winning resulted in the dullest of 0-0s last night. Another clean sheet to add to that impressive that though.
Indeed. Friends that went said it wasn't a classic.

Still, onwards and sideways as the saying goes.

I wonder if for the second week running Plymouth dominated the game for 90 minutes and Wimbledon scored two lucky goals with the late winner coming from a deflection **smirk**.

It must be tough being a sleeping giant...

I'm happy with a point at promoted Northampton. Well done to any Cobblers on here.

Things are tight for the last 2 auto spots and it should be an exciting end to the season.

Crewe are down and Colchester and Doncaster are being left behind by the rest.

Colchester won again today.

Too little too late springs to mind.

As a despairing Pilgrim, I have never seen such a dreadful meltdown. Top and clear at Christmas, Playoffs by Easter.

Don't know what has happened at the club, the wheels have well and truly come off. Pompey away next Saturday, always a great away day, but not expecting to win any more games this season.

GloverMart - how are Liam Shepard and Connor Roberts getting on with your boys this season? Shepard needs to be stepping up now if he has got any future with the Swans.

Roberts was a promising lad so would be interested to get your verdict.

Hi Legend... wavey

Liam Shephard is a curious one. I don't see the appeal in him; he rarely stands out in games and I have to be honest, I'm a little disappointed in him since he's come back. We have an 18-year-old on loan from Everton beside Shephard and he is sheer brilliance, wins MOM nearly every week and will be a big star one day. Puts Shephard in the shade a bit, I can't see Swans offering him another deal beyond this one.

Roberts is class. I played at the Golf Day yesterday and followed him around, he's not a bad golfer either. He played every minute of every game up until a couple of weeks ago when he got an international call up... he didn't really want to go, he'd rather have stayed. I can see Roberts playing for the first team one day... maybe next season if he continues his development. He'll win most people's Player of the Year award this season.

ETA: Speaking of Yeovil Town loan signings, I hear on the grapevine that Shaun MacDonald (ex Swansea, now AFC Bournemouth) is heading to Bristol City. Closer to his Welsh roots, and he's resigned to not getting a look in at Dean Court. Shame, as Shaun is one of the nicest players I've ever met in football.

Thanks mate, interesting. Hope Shepard can pull his socks up then!

What positions are they playing (given they are both traditionally right-backs)?

Is the Everton youngster Liam Walsh?

Yeovil have been playing a 4-3-3 formation.

So Connor Roberts plays as a traditional right back and Liam Shephard is the right sided midfielder of the three in front of him. I thought Shephard might play at RB and Roberts as a "winger" in a 4-4-2 but the boss favours this 4-3-3 and with 32 points in 20 games, he knows better than me what he's talking about... hehe

Yes, it's Liam Walsh. He's tiny and off the pitch, he looks like a schoolboy who has got lost on a stadium tour but he is unbelievably good. We've had a lot of players on loan at Huish Park who have gone on to do well in the Premier League (Mason, Townsend, Caulker, Hennessey, McCarthy, Begovic, Wilson and others) and he could be right up there among them.

Interesting - probably goes someway to explain your opinion on Shepard. He is definitely a make-shift midfielder and presumably looked much better at RB when he won Player of the Year for you last season. Surprised as well - Roberts started out at RW for the u-18s.

Cheers for the info.

No problem, happy to help. thumbup

Just to say, we brought in Shephard on a month's deal as Roberts was called up for international duty. But somehow, the paperwork missed the deadline so Roberts was back in time to resume his place at RB, leaving Shephard in limbo. They now both play with Shephard more advanced.

End of the day, I can't see Roberts coming back next year. Swans will want him at a L1 or even Championship club. Shephard might come back or they could do the same with him.

GloverMart, how do you feel about your trip to the Mem this weekend?

I'm hoping we can keep our promotion push going but fear it's going to be a tough game for us.

Will you be there?

Hi XF, yes I'll be there. A mate has got me into hospitality in the stand opposite the dugouts and my lads are going into the away terrace on their own.

I think you might win and win comfortably. Last few games since safety was almost assured, we have seemed to take our foot off the gas (no pun intended!). You're on fire, not more clearly signalled by your point at Northampton last week after being two down with fourteen minutes left.

Will you be there? Silly question, I suppose.

You should have a good day out regardless of the result. I've done the hospitality thing at the Mem, but in the bigger stand opposite where you'll be and it's very good.

Comfortable win? I'm not so sure.

I'll be there in the North terrace which is the noisy bit to the left of where you'll be.

Give me a wave, you can't miss me I'll have a blue and white quartered shirt on.

hehe I'll give you a wave, yep.

I've been to the Mem watching from both the tent end and the away terrace. Been some classic matches between us over the years, none more so than that 2-2 draw in 2004/05 where you came back from two down with nine men. That was an unbelievably hostile atmosphere that night - also have memories of Nick Crittenden's screamer at the tent end that won it... I leapt out of my seat before remembering I was in with the Rovers fans that day. Sat next to Paul Randall so I felt safe enough.

Living up here, I have a lot of Gashead friends who are supremely confident they'll do us on Saturday. Will be an interesting duel, that's for sure.

I hope you have a great day(but not too great)

I'll see you somewhere around here on Saturday night.

Mart hope you enjoyed your day out at the Mem, result aside. Congratulations on assuring your league 2 status. You looked dead and buried not so long ago so credit to your manager and team for turning things around.

I was quite impressed with your team today. Whilst we certainly didn't play our best football you gave us a proper game and I thought a draw might of been a fairer result, especially with that injury time chance of yours. I think if Lita had started the game may of finished differently. He was always going to get one against us and boy,did he celebrate.

I thought first 30 minutes we looked good but didn't take our chances and you came back into it and dominated parts of it. Both teams had their fair share of chances but I guess we got the roll of the ball.

It wasn't a bad atmosphere there today but thought it may of been better considering the size of the crowd. It makes a nice change to see a packed away end.

Other results were kind to us today. Oxford, Accrington and Pompey all dropped points and were back in an auto spot. If things go our way on Tuesday we might find ourselves in second spot which would be fantastic. We now have four games left and three of them are against teams in the bottom four, Exeter at the Mem being the other.

It's very much in our own hands now. Four to go, you never know!

Getting closer to L2.

Sorry AFC Wimbledon but hope you stay there as I could go to an away match at your place.

Although I never bothered trying to go to Crawley which also isn't far from me.

Hi, thanks for your kind words. Great to secure our status at the Mem.... can't disagree with a lot of what you have said really. Lita's only started one game since joining us as he's struggling to get match fit but he looked quite lively up top.

Have seen your last four fixtures and to be honest, it's now yours to lose. Three of the bottom four to play; one is doomed, another is almost doomed and a third has nowt to play for. Plus a local derby that anything can happen in. Reckon you'll go up automatically now.

Impressed with Leadbitter today, Lines showed some nice touches and a few others had good games. Think a draw would have been a fair result but it'll just be nice to get to the end of the season now.

Good luck in your last four games...beer
