Cannot believe how we [Pompey] contrived to throw that away although it shouldn't come as a shock as it's been a hallmark of our season.
Haven't felt that gutted walking out after a game for a long old time.
That's our automatic spot gone, all in the space of a few minutes! To be honest, we have left ourselves to much to do at the end of the season having thrown so many points away earlier on this year.
Not sure we have the mental strength for the play offs.

Sorry AFC Wimbledon but hope you stay there as I could go to an away match at your place.
nono Not if we can help it hehe

We were lucky today with a win, when all around us drew/lost. And we have a game in hand, against Pompey on Tuesday 26th.

Another 3 points bounce

And Pompey lost bounce

Only 1 point in it now, so next Tuesdays fixture will be the proverbial 6-pointer eek

As per usual,Colchester concede in injury time to throw away 2 points.

I said I didn't care few weeks ago,I obviously do but we're going down.

We're going to scrape into the playoffs but this team do not have the mental strength to win them.
Another season in League Two for us I fear.

Exeter's late charge to join the playoff party is rapidly undone by losing 3-2 to Mansfield. If there was a league table for inconsistency and baffling performances I'm fairly sure we'd win it.

Plymouth back in the automatic promotion mix, thanks to some interesting draws above us.

A good win for us to day against a very Good Exeter side. They pushed us hard all the way and bossed the midfield.

We needed that after a disappointing draw at Stevenage mid-week.

Two games left against relegated York and Dagenham.

We just need Accrington or Oxford to do the decent thing and lose a game or two.

UTG!

I couldn't make it today but my family did and by all accounts it was a great match. I've got my ticket for the last match vs Dag and Red and I can't wait. Regardless of the outcome, we've had an amazing season back in league 2.

We just need 2 points from 3 games to guarantee a play-off spot bounce

And we have Pompey at home on Tuesday night eek

And as an aside, loved hearing that the Franchise have been relegated bounce

I did enjoy this photo. I do wonder if someone at Sky deliberately planned this, especially considering Jeff Stellings comment yesterday ...."As it stands MK are relegated today and not before time" smile

Oh man! I can't work this L2 out. Very true that everyone can beat everyone. Just last season the Cobblers were fighting relegation, then the financial crisis hits them, then they are Champions.

Argyle beat Pompey and Orient, then go three goals down at home in the first half to Daggers, who started the day 49 points behind.

WTF is going on?

Another year in L2, so depressing.

Painful, isn't it? I don't fancy us in the playoffs at all; having to string together three results is a bit of a reach for me.

Anyone looking at the playoffs must be hoping against hope they get Argyle - perhaps with the exception of Pompey, obvs. 😁

I agree, I really don't fancy Argyle's chances. It's like penalty shootouts, we can't do them right either!

After the initial disappointment of spectacularly blowing our (Pompey) chance of an automatic spot, there's a growing feeling that with a bit of luck we'll be a bit better mentally prepared for the playoffs.
Chances are we'll be playing a team that have lost out on the last day of the season, we've done that before and it's a gutting feeling, you then have to pick yourself up a week later, something we couldn't do way back in 93(?).
There's also a feeling that playing away in the second leg will help us as we've really failed to deliver when we've needed to most this season at Fratton Park.
Surprised Oxford are making hard work of it, they looked a decent team and were on a great run earlier in the year.

What an absolutely crap game against Pompey last night. The ref totally ruined the game by being petty and blowing for every single infringement, no matter how small it was.

That was until Pompey scored - by very blatantly pushing one of our defenders over .... the ref saw nothing rolleyes

Hmm..although he disallowed Michael Smith's second goal for no good reason I could see. But yes, he reffed at the same standard we've endured all season = utterly inept. Honestly, most referees this season have been effing useless, and as for the "assistants", words fail me.
Looks like the play offs will be Pompey v Plymouth and Wimbledon v Bristol / Oxford / Accrington.
