Good win for the Shrews tonight. James Collins man of the match for me, worked so hard right to the end. Surprised how poor Bury were given their league position. Bloody cold night watching footy though, here comes the joys of winter rolleyes
Yes miserable and cold night for us Shakers, I arrived at the ground 15 minutes late just in time to see the Shrews 2nd and left on 70 minutes just before the 5th.

A long way to go for an hour of crap Bury FC football! furious

Good luck versus Chelsea next week, this result will have given you some confidence and your home form is superb.

Thanks, will need all the luck we can get against Chelski. Another good home win today so the confidence should be high going into Tuesdays cup game. Good atmosphere there today. Plenty of away support too making a decent noise.

Well, the Shrews cup run is over. Great game last night, really enjoyed it. Chelsea put a decent team out and we gave them a good game. Very little in it first half. Shame about the own goal at the end, really gutted. Heads held high after that one though.

Never knew you had Andy Mangan playing for you til he came on and scored the equaliser, ex Bury involved in a betting scandal during his time with us.

He arrived late July and has already bagged a few goals. Been out for a while injured. Looks sharp in small bursts but seems to struggle over 90 mins. Been a decent addition though and allows rotation of our strikers.

BBC final score live show are doing something new today on FA cup ties.

They have instant replays at certain matches including Colchester at Gosport.

Shame I missed the first half when Colchester put 4 in.

Yay,just seen their fifth.....redcard

After a 6.0 drubbing at MK last Saturday I wasn't hopeful of a result in the FA cup today as Peterborough

usually hand Colchester a beating.

YAY ,beat them 1.0.

3rd round here we come.

Good win today for Colchester against Orient down the bottom.

Main reason for the post is that I just found out by watching "The Football League Show" that

we've sold Freddie Sears, one of the few players to score regularly.

ETA to Ipswich of all the clubs had to be our biggest local rivals albeit in a different league

in both meanings.

The love is returning after 2 years of absolute st at Stevenage. Teams are beginning to dislike us again as we aren't just showing up and rolling over for them. We even got verbally abused leaving the ground by a few Wycombe fans for daring to support our "rugby" team after the game on Saturday. If only we'd have scored the 97th minute penalty to snatch it 3-2.

Its' been the Westley style to play big lumps of defenders who can hack chunks out of players for as long as I can remember (been to many away days at Stevenage over the years). It's ugly and frustrating to watch as an opposing fan but there's no denying that it's been quite effective in that time.

The Stevenage v Exeter game was no different just before Xmas when I went there. I think the Exeter players got so frustrated in the end that one got booked for audibly (to those of us in the away end) calling a Stevenage player a 'cheating ccensoredt' (I think it was) right in front of the ref. hehe

Havng said all of that there's times I'd love to see Exeter hacking teams apart instead of playing the tippy tappy nonsense that the pundits like but frustrates the fans no end. We're now on the slide down the table again with no obvious sign of it ending anytime soon. Thankfully we had our mid season purple patch of form and got some decent points on the board which is saving our bacon a bit at the moment.

You guys are widely praised on our boards for being the best team we played this season, no one really knows how we won that game - I was the other side of the world for the game myself. Sounds like it was a proper smash and grab which seemed to actually mark our turning point as since Christmas we've been playing much nicer stuff and we're probably the form team at the moment. Wycombe just got their knickers in a twist because they still haven't beaten us at Admas Park. Foul count, game after game, suggests otherwise to 'our style'.

I just don't get why people outlaw strength from the game. If you get to our game in a couple of weeks you'll see we don't argue with the ref, surround him into making decisions etc and of our current starting 11, only 2 or 3 of the players could be considered 'lumps'.

Long may it continue though, the best bit about league football compared to non league is how touchy home fans are when you turn them over.

And perfectly on queue, Westley has cast his bait... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31732558

Looking at the bottom of L1 after todays games,Colchester lose again.

There are 5 teams getting left behind with a 5 point gap to 6th bottom.

Unless 1 of them has a huge change of form it's 4 from this 5 to drop.

Agreee there although Notts County are on a dreadful run of form. They beat Yeovil in November to go fourth and since then, the backside has dropped out of their season. If they keep losing, the rest will catch them up.

Sweet 92nd minute winner for the Glovers today but they have a huge task on Tuesday night, taking on Bristol City at home.

Hello again chaps, well it's building up to the end of the season. I'm still hopeful Argyle will go up, but that's all it is now. A hope.

I'm taking so little interest now,I didn't even know we were playing Crawley who WERE below us in the relegation

fight.

Well Crawley are now above us as we lost 2-3 to them.

Bye bye L1.
