The League 1 and 2 Thread
Discussion
Well, that was an eventful Saturday at Plymouth. 10 man Southend virtually handing us a playoff place by beating Luton, and poor Tranmere being relegated by Argyle. Can't remember the last time we relegated a team (apart from ourselves).
Tough last game away at Shrewsbury. They are up, we are all but guaranteed a playoff place. They haven't lost at home all season.......

Bye bye league 1 & 2 thread, hopefully we won't be away too long. TRFC
The conference can be an absolute bd. Usually there's a small team that have spent a fortune amassing the stars of non league who will be very strong. With only 2 promotion spots, it's straight down to the lottery of the playoffs. This seems to have caused a bit of a bottleneck of decent clubs as you very rarely see teams promoted from the conference struggle in League 2.It should be three up.
Similarly, does anyone know why 4 go up from league 2 and 4 down from league 1? This seems to lead to clubs yo-yo'ing between the leagues.
Should be 3 up, 3 down to the conference which needs to be 4 down to support 2 promotion spots from each north and south division.

That being said, it's definitely a chance to see a load of awesome new grounds and it's certainly a friendlier division with much more genuine fans without the elements out for a bit of trouble.
So you'll experience a load of friendly club houses, cheaper ticket prices and some great terraced stands.

At least you've given us one southern team in a vary northern league if we do get through the playoffs... I suspect you'll have the Essex derby instead as I can't see us progressing past Southend.Notts County and Crawley lost........down.

Not particularly too fussed as League 2 has a load of local away games next season and we will be very strong.
Well, the season that couldn't possibly get any worse got worse.
We are the only Football League club in our county so really the County Cup competition should be a shoe-in. Most years we send a youth or ressies side but for the last three years, we've only had the first team so had to send a mix of those and the fringe players.
Tonight, we played with the bare eleven. No subs against Taunton Town who beat us 1-0. The only bright side was that my cousin scored the winner and got Man of the Match.
Good riddance to an awful season.
